I'm getting down to the wire here on the mission to become a Golden God (91% Completion... and a large chunk of that is Skyscraper/The Kid/Meat is Death), but there are a few levels that are giving me FAR more problems then they should and I'm looking for either strategy advice.. or perhaps technical help if maybe it's just the game glitching.

For the record I usually am running on lowdetail.

4-20X - I keep being unable to pass the 4th room with the laser Eye. I can see so plainly what to do: jump over the pit, move to the wall, jump straight up drawing the laser to the block, then loop back around for the key. Nothing I haven't done before.... except the laser won't move fast enough and I get on my way back down... it never even reaches the block. Obviously I can't wall jump since I'll just go into the lava...

5-15X - This one I'm pretty sure is a glitch and I need help fixing it. The maggot stream is moving too fast. Far too fast. Whenever I reach the first low hanging wall I'm stuck waiting for the maggot and the stream kills me before it clears the passage allowing me access. I've looked at videos on youtube and CLEARLY my stream is moving fast than there's since they have time to wait for the maggot. How do I fix that?

5-8X - I will never beat this level. Ever.

I don't know how you're running SMB, but I'd say the solution to the first two are two do the following:

1) Run the game in windowed mode.
2) Run the game using -lowdetail or -ultralowdetail
3) Verify the game cache
4) Force Vsync

Concerning that last one... you know, it really isn't that hard once you know what to do. Just stick really close to the saws, run between them and jump when you have to. The only tricky part comes further down, and you can solve that by jumping and landing between the moving saws (if I recall correctly). Just keep at it and you'll make it. Good luck! =)

for 5-8x, you can stick to the right wall, and only really jump 2-3 times. I can get you a video if you want.  '

It isn't THAT hard, but the main problem is the timing on the beginning saws, and the last 3 saws.

Try using Gish/Headcrab, press X (or Shift) to stick to the wall
