OK, I really love Super Meat Boy, and have purchased the Steam version, but I am cursed with impatience and a mac. So, is there any way as of right now to run the game on a mac, WITHOUT A WINDOWS CD, as all I have is Windows Vista. I have already tried Boot Camp and Wine, both failed, (probably my fault). So... any ideas?

Thanks.

Wait for the ARG, the level editor, and the Mac version to be done.
See you in a year probably.

It's sad I'm recommending this, but for a Mac user your only avenue to play SMB is to dual boot Windows (preferably 7), or use the cracked Cider port that hit the net not too long ago.

Try wineing DXSETUP.exe and vcredist_x86.exe in Prerequisites in the Super Meat Boy folder.

How bout that: Try to drink huge amounts of cherry whiskey without dying.
And every time you die, you play a SMB-Level.

I actually installed Win7 on my mac (got it for free at my university) just because of SMB. Believe me, it's worth it
...at least until you beat the game and wait for the editor
Also, wow, someone quotes me in his signature, I feel honoured

Also, I end all of my sentences with smilies

*sighs* I guess I'll have to wait, or steal someone else's PC. As my luck would have it my whole FAMILY uses macs. So, yeah.

Meat Boy Well, that was the best quote I ever read. I'm still suprised that I was the first to use it.

I've read about people having a little bit of success running Steam + Steam games from a USB stick. You could probably combine this with a portable OS so Steam actually works well.

tl;dr you're better off waiting.

I've tried Boot Camp with Windows XP and have not had much luck. I'll keep trying, and if I figure it out I'll be sure to say how I got it working. Also: Have you checked the Steam forums for Super Meat Boy? I know there are a few suggestions to getting SMB to work over there...
