Since the question is about SMW not SMB in general, my answer HAS to be the harshest one.
I simply haven't played SMW and WON'T unless we get completion and A+ stats. It is really frustrating me but I am not waisting my time on this if I can't get validation. I have already beat the game at 106% 3 times, there is really no point for me to play anymore on PC unless we get those BASIC features.
It's like a mountain bike without the ability to shift gears, basically it would still function but it would be a poor quality product. (This analogy is aimed at SMW, not SMB in general, which I love of course)

I'm reserving judgment on faith that we will get times and A+'s saved, once SMW has that, I will be 100% ok with it. Until then, it appeals to me much less than it otherwise would and I have spent maybe an hour just briefly dabbling with it whereas if times were saving I'd have taken a much more serious approach to playing through each chapter, trying for A+'s, etc.

look at other 8-10€ games. Those games give you way less and this game is not even 100% finished yet.
Team Fortress 2. Hah. No, but you do know that comes down to Valves gazilion people with a pre built game engine versus 2 guys who had to make everything from scratch? Its basically an awesome mod. However I support what you tried to say here. Let me try that again then. Garry's Mod.

Well, I didn't really get into this before, but yes, I agree that Team Meat should've estimated the time it would take them a bit more generous. Now they failed to keep their promise of releasing SMW in January. Normally I play games long after their release so I don't have much experience on this, but I know that some developers take way, WAY longer with releasing updates/patches. 'Just' a 3 month delay is considered fast there. Some games take years before the final version is released, and some of those aren't even stable. My CoD:MW2 version won't work anymore, even though it worked when I bought it. Stuff like that.

If I had van with "FREA CANDI" written on it then I would definitively consider to pick you up! No, but GMod is also built on the source engine. So it's more or less a fancy mod made by Team Garry. And that makes is kind of the exact same thing as TF2 just more minecrafty! At this point we sort of need you to deliver here Maruhai. We've all come to expect more from you. Don't make us have to call your parents. And you know how that would go down right? Your parents would be FURIOUS by the fact that you're not posting 100% accurate things online. If I know your parents right (which I don't) Then In confident that you will be grounded. And no going to the skateboard park this weekend and Disney World in the summer! On topic: Yeah SMW needs a leader board fix too. But in general the entire boards needs fixing. If not we end up having 0.00 times in SMW as well :(

My main problem with it is the lack of completion stats and believe it or not, proper music for the chapters. That's what I'm waiting for before I start playing it.

Sorry but without trying to troll or something, from the fact that I'm French and thus I'm not pro with english, I didn't get a shit from what you said.

So SMW sucks because you can't compete with the community? Seriously? I found SMW to be very fun, especially the Jumper levels. A couple of the Chapters seem very amateurish, sure, but it was still nice to have until Team Meat completes the original plan. Which they will, eventually. You guys have to remember, these guys worked on this game for years. I'm pretty sure they're a bit tired of ironing it out. They're not going to abandon it, just give them some time.

[..]A couple of the Chapters seem very amateurish[...] There are people who only play games like this to show off their leaderboard ranks. I will love it when the Level Editor comes out, and very very VERY amateurish levels come out, but thank oden for the voting system :3

So SMW sucks because you can't compete with the community? Seriously? What's the point of playing a level if the game doesn't register your completion ? It's like you never played it. Plus, no leaderboards, and leaderboards are 50% of Super Meat Boy.

SMW is fine, but they said something along the lines of it being be done in January. Then it shows up 3 months later in beta. So people who has been looking forward to it goes "wtf?". This is while other severe issues goes unaddressed. I guess its fair to say that people care because they like the game. If they didn't they wouldn't be here. I expect that to be the worst post to hit these forums today. While I'm sure there are people who play games purely to show off their rank(s), I have not met any of them here. I have 20 or so of the top players on my steam friend list and when I talk to them that's simply not how it goes. People play games to have fun and some people think it is fun to compete. (Heresy! Light the torches!) Do I take a swing at you for being interested in a stupid editor that people only use to show off their creativity and gloat about how artistic they can be? No I do not. (I'm actually looking forward to some of the user made levels that I'm sure will be awesome!) At this point we sort of need you to deliver here Maruhai. We've all come to expect more from you. I'm just playing along with what I'm sure was 100% accurate!

What's even more horrifying is that supposedly they made it so that you have to use this feature in SMW to pass some levels.
That is most definitely false. If a level was so broken that it was not possible without exploits, Team Meat would never add it. But anyway, I'm not really disappointed in it. I am a bit disappointed, but I won't be when it's completely finished. What would make me REALLY disappointed is if they never added in SMW recognizing level completion.

No, it's not "most definitely false"... 5 Levels were added for the ARG competition and those Levels CAN'T be completed, therefore they could NOT be uploaded unless they used some kind of a trick.

Yeah, I know about them. The thing is, he said there were levels that required use of the ALT-glitch to be completed. These levels are simply impossible to beat. They're unbeatable, exploits or not.
