Go to your Steam game library, right click on Super Meat Boy, click on properties, go to "Set Launch Options", type -devmode, click OK, start Super Meat Boy. Wait's over. Just remember to save often.

We basically have the full editor now, we just can't upload our levels to the portal at the moment. Granted, it's a bit buggy, but all of the essential features minus uploading are there.

I really hope that the beta is at least somewhat better than the version we have now.

Otherwise i'll be really dissapointed.

Actually, I think this is more like an alpha version, the next update is introducing the beta version.

I think the main problem with the level editor that people seem to be having is that it's just a parameter for the game's EXE, not a seperate executable entirely.

Anyways, the only massive problem I have with the current editor is that waypoints are an utter bitch to work with, and the game crashes if you touch Bandage Girl. Otherwise, it's prettu decent.

Just tried to save a good level on devmode... it failed!!!! Devmode sucks!

Make a directory in your SMB folder (C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Super Meat Boy) called "levels", it should save then. This is also another problem, why can't the game create the directory itself when you save?

I think I've explained this to you before (or maybe it was someone else, I forget), but you need to create a folder called "levels" in your Super Meat Boy directory (default location is C:/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/supermeatboy) before you can save any levels. The game can't create this folder on its own yet so you need to do it manually.

Edit: Damn you Scizor! Being all first to reply and stuff...

If you still have the game open with your level in it, you do not need to restart the game and you can still save it if you create a levels folder.

It actualy crashes at the end of the Dr. fetus kidnaps bandage girl animation.
Personly i think its becuase its planed to have a message after the end animation saying the level can be uploaded but uploading is disabled for the current version.
