...making 5-5X impossible. So, this problem has persisted for a while now but only til I tried 5-5X did it cause any major problems. And I only just realized that this forum existed. Basically, rather then things being too slow, they're actually too fast. So, anytime I try 5-5X, I can't beat it. Hell, half the time, I can't even make it to the other side, never mind pressing the second damn button. I have a feeling it's also making 5-8X impossible too. It doesn't seem impossible but it's hard as hell to actually do it. Any help? I think turning on Vsync might help but I have no idea how to.

Yeah, I always play Meat Boy in windowed. I think the problem still persisted in fullscreen but I might have to check that again.

EDIT: I think fullscreen might have made it slightly better but not quite enough. It was, however, fun to play in fullscreen once again. Meat Boy

Same problem here, I can't finish level 5-5x becouse I have a CRT monitor and game run in 75 fps. So I switched game to window and forced Vsync in drivers, but game still runs in 75fps mode. BTW, I can't change desktop frequence to 60Hz, my nVidia drivers don't allow me to set that value lower than 75Hz.
So, what now?

For the game to run at an update rate different from your monitor refresh rate, you want to *disable* v-sync not enable it. Besides, I think v-sync is only relevant to full screen modes, not windowed ones.

For a 60Hz refresh rate => find a way to add the new modes yourself (here is how to do it with ATI cards) or try Powerstrip or a similar program to set a custom refresh rate for your monitor.
