Nice chapter with a great set of ideas and consistent theme, but definitely one for the experts.
It was nice, but suffered a little too much from "fake difficulty" in places for my liking which I felt ruined some of the designs by implimenting some near pixel perfect jumps and putting the hardest obstacle on a few levels right at the very end, which isn't great design in my book. I found it manageable, but I've A+'ed the whole game with Meat Boy, so am not representative and feel most will struggle and get frustrated.
But apart from that, a great chapter I thought. Looking forward to the other two chapters when they're fixed.

I guess it's time to drag my wireless adapter up the Meat Boy 360...
But yeah, I'll be doing the same Remnants was one of my favorite chapters. So it'll be nice to play the full-featured chapter and be able to A+ some levels.
I thought overall Remnants was the best w/ The Passenger, but the difficulty and how difficulty is layered from one level to the next isn't a masterwork.

I thought the chapter was great overall. I haven't A+ every level, but I did for about half of them. The ending of I-18: Suspended sure was an ass hole.

Im glad you guys liked my chapter!  I know what you mean about the bad stuff.. but i was kinda in a rush to finish it, i couldnt help it x3 I have started on dark versions of em but the editor isnt working proparly yet so i might wait thanks again! |

Quick question - is Remnants on XBLA character locked? because I can choose to play as any character and that seems odd as no other chapter lets you pick your character.

hey, shinobirain i just checked and got the same thing on my console. i guess it's a good thing, wonder if the other new internets levels will be the same? or if it was a mistake

Quick question - is Remnants on XBLA character locked? because I can choose to play as any character and that seems odd as no other chapter lets you pick your character. You can pick your character because in that chapter there are shortcuts for characters such as Alien Hominid and Flywrench. You can cut a lot of seconds. |

Just played through these again, and I'm once again reminded why the 360 ver is superior...you can choose different characters along w/ A+, completion, and leaderboards. Kind of sucks for all of us who prefer PC/Steam...
But great to see and play Remnants again, can't wait for the others to be uploaded too.

I honestly don't think it's such a good set of levels. In my opinion, the level order is very mixed in the difficulty, and should be rearranged. Most of the stages were a breeze, but some of them were hard, but those were not some of the latter ones.

Is the 360 ver superior because its easy? Well if you ask me its the xbox users it sucks for because you might as well choose alien hominid or the kid and pass most of my levels with no problem.. while i worked alot on these levels for a good challange (which is what you really want in SMB) for meat boy.. wich is why you can only use meat boy on the pc version. They where made for him!!! ..remember that ^^ |

They where made for him!!! ..remember that ^^ Totally agree. I A+'ed it with Meat Boy (as I did the main game entirely) as it was clearly designed for him. Use anyone else for anyhting other than leaderboard times and you're only cheating yourself. The criticisms of poor difficult curve and sometimes elements of cheap or fake difficulty stand though. Could have done with a re-ordering and softening of some bits as it takes away from an otherwise fantastic shapter. |

They where made for him!!! ..remember that ^^ Yeah, I only used Meat Boy to finish Remnants. I'm not good enough w/ any other characters to do otherwise. Even so, it's still a neat choice/option. But I agree, Meat Boy all the way for Remnants. |
