On the last blog post:
"We will be doing a semi big update next week that will fix a few editor bugs and add a few small features to SMW (like the Unknown), so be on the look out for that."
Next time understand I never check sources and only say what I want because I like making DD Commander cry.
Why would I cry? You? No. Because Enter The Unknown will never come, stupid. Maybe DD Commander isnt the best user ever, but at least he is polite and seems more mature than you right now. Calm down. When SMW was delayed past January, everyone had thier doubts about release, but Team Meat pulled through, and I think that they will pull through and release Enter The Unknown. Doesn't mean that I have to like ETU, as most levels on the SMW right now are the worst pieces of shit I've ever seen. Not Team Meat's fault, though.

I just read through this thread and now I don't regret taking such a long break from the forum.
I was hoping that the entitled kids would get tired and move on. Turns out they stuck around to complain.
I'll see you guys in another little while when the editor is out of the beta, the portal is fully functional and the whiners have something better to do than complain on the internet.

I'm just tired of furthering my "crash" level counter by playing these levels that have no visual design and absolutely no enjoyment value whatsoever.

Yeah, there are just too many poorly designed levels in SMW. Also the rating system doesn't really work yet. That's one thing. The other thing is that you can't rate a level if you don't complete it. I don't even want to complete most of the levels in SMW right now, but I think I should have the opportunity to rate them, because I find them very boring, tedious, balls-to-the-walls unforgiving etc. It's like you have to go through hell on earth just to say that hell was not fun at all and nobody in their right mind should go there. That doesn't sound fair to me.

Then do something in between. Let people vote when they died 20 times or when they complete the level.

I wouldn't have a problem moderating levels that are not worth having up. If Edmund gave 2-3 people mod privileges on SMW I think it would definitely help. I obviously know where that could also be a problem though. Just an idea.

It's funny that you say this because most of the Super Meat Boy fanbase is the Meat Boy fanbase, who are Newgrounds members. I'm not part of that btw.

I didn't even know that there was a Flash Meat Boy when I bought this game, I got that game because it seemed like it was everything that I like about platformer games in general, and I was sucked in by the promise of a level editor and custom-made levels. At least I was satisfied by one of these points. Custom levels for the most part are abominable trash that was made in 5 minutes and was reuploaded about 50 times. Unless there's some community involvement to make the portal a cleaner place (ie. having level mods like RockLeeSmile suggested), there will be no reason to keep using it. Even then, that probably wouldn't be enough.

I personally think there should be some kind of filter that leaves out forest-tileset levels that no paralaxes, no back tile general usage, 50x40 or 50x50 whichever it defaults to, and objects that are shifted

SMB fans arent even played Meat Boy before SMB at more than... 90%? I dont know anyone that likes Meat Boy when it came out and was OMFG SMB!

Just to offer my perspective on this, I was indeed aware of MB on Newgrounds when it was new, but only played it for a short time and wasn't overly committed to it. It was fun, but not the greatest game. I'm definitely not a newgrounds guy, just someone who has visited it a few times. I was drawn to the game mostly in the months prior to the XBLA release. I then followed it from there.
