It's not out yet. Use -devmode by right clicking the game in your steam list and clicking properties and putting -devmode in launch options to use the new level editor.

Another bug to fix: I uploaded a level made with the Game Boy tile, but if I try to play it in the portal the game crashes. And btw I personally think there should be an option to vote levels even if we can't finish them, because right now there's a lot of levels that are really hard to beat and even if they shows a five star rating they probably don't have any ratings at all.
And that's all, outstanding update, keep it up Ed

Just for people that didnt notice it. Go to your Steam Library > Tools > Super Meat Boy Editor. It's just 1 MB, yeah, just 1 MB. Obviously, you need the game (I say this because you can host servers from games that you dont have downloaded):

If you can't see it, restart Steam.

Proof here!

EDIT: Thanks mods! Now less people would notice this, unless they enter in this forum, in this editor subforum and in this post.

I must agree that the topic merging/all-togerther deletion of topics is getting a tad silly :|

Your picture seems to be broken. Besides that, I still can't find the editor in the tools, though I see that there are quite a few tools listed for a bunch of games that I don't have installed. I'm not really annoyed about it, though, I'm content with using the ol' fasioned -devmode command :)

As far as the official beta editor goes, I like it. I haven't gotten it to crash once yet after several consecutive hours of use

Go here to see it.

You have to restart Steam, because it was added 1 or 2 hours ago. If you had Steam launched when a tool is added, you couldnt use it until you restart Steam. Well, sounds... logic... (I mean, I just realise that thats logical if you think about it, not bugging FlipTaco).

Oh, duh, I can't believe I hadn't tried that yet. Well, that's one little issue fixed :)

please feel free to post any major bugs here guys, so far we only have the tufo boy fix.

we plan on doing a big update this weekend, adding "the unknown" a recommended section that gathers all featured chapters together and a few other fixed and updates to SMW.

we also want to make sure all major bugs are fixed in the editor, so please tell us if you see anything big.

1. starting the lvl editor in fullscreen mode causes a microsoft runtime c++ error.

2. inside the lvl editor menues are "displaced", so for example u have to click below the upper menu to make the selection.

3. there's a freeze now between levels after the update (http://supermeatboy.com/forum/index.php/topic,1626.0.html)

greetings from Argentina

are you going to implement something to prevent people from uploading duplicates of chapters or levels?

Will there be a way to select Alien Hominid or Potato Boy?

This is minor, but it'd be nice to see some confirmation that your chapter uploads in the editor. I accidentally tossed mine up twice, and looking at the other entries I see I'm not the only one.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and I don't know if I missed it or not but I didn't notice the old Super Meat World/Internets theme anywhere in the editor's music selection thing for chapters. It'd be a shame if that's gone for good.

EDIT AGAIN: Also, in levels where Bandage Girl is the character, you still rescue Bandage Girl and not Meat Boy. Don't even know if that's something you can fix but I'll toss it in there anyway.

Crashing whenever I try and add a third level to a chapter.
Chapter button says Create, could be confusing.
Press F1 to Play and Press F1 To devmode are a bit off the screen. (running 1920x1080)
Old bandages were not showing up in uploaded levels. Bandages are just finicky, i'll look into it more later.
Individual levels display random names at the top. (Pulled from the main game)

What would be nice:
Preview in game. The zoom camera at the end can cause a few unexpected problems (Shows out of map areas if B-girl is too close to the edge of the map.)

Some way to stop chapter/level spam. It's already begun in the Chapters tab. *cough pro pack cough*

I've got a problem you should know about. It's probably my dodgy resolution (1360x768) not being liked as my cursor and buttons are off sync e.g. i have to place my mouse quite far beneath the buttons along to top to actually click them. Just something to have fixed in the fixed version.
Same with 1366x768

Just do windowed mode. Sucks but it works. :\

(I have 1366x768 too)
