I bought a blender on the net, it was shipped to me without a blade and I contacted the sales people and said WTF, there is no blade?! The answer I got is that they tried to put one in but it seemed it was impossible, and said it was my fault for taking for granted that a blender should come with a blade...

As hard as I try not to be a dick here, well, I still see no reason whatsoever I should play SMW and will not, whatever is said and done I consider SMW flawed beyond common sense (completion, times and A+, I don't care about leaderboards at all). The Super Meat Boy Ultra edition is an awesome paper weight though.

Fuck me, is it really that hard to understand? You didn't buy SMW. It was given as a gift. If you don't like it, don't play it.

WE GET IT. You've posted enough douche-chilling manufactured drama in this thread (let alone every other one) to give us a hint about what your stance is on this issue. I'm willing to bet people posting the opposite opinion of your own don't give a shit about what yours is by now. You can either give it a rest, or continue to climb the Ladder of Posters Not to Take Seriously Despite Their Constant Obsession to Be Heard.

Ryoko hasn't been banned, the OP is most likely an imposter. I'll have to verify this with him in the IRC though.
Ryoko deleted his account.

Until then, here's something you should all keep in mind.

You did not pay for the Level Editor. You did not pay for Super Meat World.
You paid for Super Meat Boy as it was since release (After the first week of bugfixes of course). The game was complete when you bought it and at no point in time (After the first week) was it ever incomplete.
Super Meat World and the Level Editor were completely free additions*.

Let me break that down:

  • Completely Free
  • Additions

All you're entitled to from your purchase of Super Meat Boy was everything you've already had since release. Anything else is an extra bonus that didn't have to be made in the first place.
So we were entitled to functioning leaderboards which you forcibly removed from the Steam version for a period of time with a forced beta? Unless you warned us in advance so we could tell the game to not update and give people who bought the game during the beta, the ability to download the version before the beta you intentionally voided something we were entitled to.

Right. So totally different from you and everyone else posting the same old bullshit complaints repeatedly DESPITE having everyone having heard them ad infinitum by now and the developers themselves answer you personally and telling you unambiguously they are never going to be acted upon, and are inf act completely unwarranted anyway.

Totally different. I understand now. I'll leave you to howl in the wind further without that counterbalancing voice which until now I thought was doing the same shit you're doing. You're completely not a massive hypocrite for calling for that.

Complain all you want, but nothing will change, so you may as well just give us all a fucking rest and get on with your life, unless demanding the recording of meaningless statistics in a year old $10 videogame which will never happen is really so important to you, which in that case you may as well just end your life instead.

Nice to know the people giving so much criticism are unable to take even an ounce of it.

Besos. x

Well, since it was completely without context (unless you can read my mind, which you can't - I hope ) what I was really saying was more like... "damn, your spirits haven't been broken yet?"

I didn't think there was a way, but through all this mess (read: this thread), I've psyched myself into the idea of SMB becoming irrelevant. It's hard to remain enthusiastic about something when you're told by it's biggest proponent that you should really just move on...

My guess (and that's all this is) is that all this "feature" trouble came about because TM were adding and patching onto a framework that needed to be torn down and restructured in the utmost to be able to handle anything outside of the very specific demands that the xbla version was designed to withstand. This restructuring only took place as far as to directly address specific issues, not the game as a whole - which was now running on a whole new platform. The game "breaking" that Edmund is referring to is probably the point at which work/code would need to be deconstructed and rebuilt to properly move forward... and at this point, doing so is no longer an option.

I could be way off here, but that's my guess.

The PC version may be reminiscent of the xbla version as if it were bandage girl... you can't really tell if it's all just bandages, or if there's actually a girl underneath.

I'm gonna get beat up for this post...

You may be right, but playing through the levels a lot of them are actually decent. You just have to avoid levels like FURST LVL LOL!!1!

And my levels, of course.

As long as the featured pages are constantly updated I'll be fine. Also, Edmund needs to share the featuring power with someone else in case he dies or something. We wouldn't want that.

if you ask me I think featured stuff should be made rating-influenced, we've still got that one last patch, right?

But then it's not featured, it's highest rated. But I'd like that, too.

Wait, I just realized that I worded that wrong. I meant that my levels are decent, not that you should avoid them. Silly me and my typos.
