I'm pretty sure everyone on this forum likes games that kick there ass  ! So I was just wondering what other punishing games you guys are playing and/or love to play?

I've been playing a lot of N+, Mainly because of the level editor.

Also I've been trying to 100% Mega Man 10 since I've already 100% Mega Man 9.

And I also love the 2D Oddworld games !  Meat Boy

Jumpman is also a very interesting 2D platformer (not really hardcore but really cool). It's nit a very well-know indie game so give it a try!

I downloaded it but the screen turns black every 5 seconds?  It seems real fun though ....

Super Mario 2 Jap- *brickshotkilledko'd*
Bit Trip Runner is not exactly VER HARD, since you can't really die, but the game gets really tough at some points, especially when you have to begin a whole level all over again for pressing the wrong button or forgetting it's the purple dots you have to duck to dodge and the orange ones to jump (get the game to know what I'm talking 'bout >:/).
Still pretty hard, though.

Despite my username, I'm not really a Sonic fan. The name just stuck from when I was one. If I want fast action nowadays I just play Meat Boy. Or chase my cat. Sneaky little devil she is.

N+ was a great speedrunning game but after playing Super Meat Boy I can't stand playing it anymore. N+ just feels like slow-motion.

Focus by jesse venbrux is a really great insanely fast-paced platformer, saying any more would spoil it. There are challenges for time trial and low-death runs for those who really want a challenge.

Yeah thats very true but I think it has to be slow because of the precision some of the jumps require . And yeah I like Super Meat Boy's pace much more then N+'s too, but I still injoy getting my ninja on once in awhile.

It's nice, but hard only if you try to 100% it. Beside, the game is short but really well made. Rescuing all the team is not hard though

Am I the only one on the forum who loves 'Splosion man? That games needs to be on Steam.

On hard mode, it is EXTREMELY difficult. Everything kills you in one hit, there are no checkpoints - levels are fairly long.

It doesn't have nearly as much content as Super Meat Boy, but 2D platformers rarely do.
