For some reason, when I go into play mode lights become invisible. I can't even see parallaxes at all.

Hmm, i tried this once also. Try putting the paralexes, and the lights in all the different layers, and im pretty sure it will show up in some of the layers Also the problem might be that you instead of changing size, at some point scaled the objects. You can tīcheck that in the down right corner

They're not related, they're just both not working. I can't use them because the parallaxes aren't visible and the lights don't emit any light.

Also, I just realized that particle emitters don't work either.

Ah, wait. I just realized why they aren't working. I was in -lowdetail mode. That changes everything.
