Hello all!
Borderlands is a FPSRPG(OMG) where the player selects one of four classes: The Soldier; has a deployable turret The Hunter; with basically a homing missile in the form of his pet hawk The Siren; who can "phasewalk" (making her go wickedly fast and cause explosions going in and out of it) The Berserker; Who can go into a rage mode where he is hard to hurt, and does high damage by punching.
then goes on an adventure to find the fabled Vault, which is a alien stockpile that will give huge wealth to the finder. The game's most tauted feature is having 17.5 million guns that you can use, in a couple of catergories. Combat Rifle, SMG, Repeater Pistol, Revolver, Sniper Rifle, and Rocket Launcher, and Eridian. You can find guns that have Elemental Technology applied to them. This is Incindiary, Corrosive (acid), Blast (explosive), and Shock.
Each character has 3 skill trees, where you spend your points that you gain every time you level up. (at level 5 you get your special ability, every level after that you get 1 point)
The enemies are the Bandits (which come in many varieties), Dog-like Skags, hard-to-classify Spiderants, pillbug-looking Scythids, Larva Crab Worms, the bird-like Rakk, the human Crimson Lance, the alien Guardians, and many bosses that fall under all these catergories.
QUESTION: What are your favorite quotes from the game? QUESTION 2: What is your favorite class?

Quotes: The Siren and Scooter easily have the best quotes. I can't remember them off the top of my head, but here's one I always liked: "Hey, you the one killin' all the crap when people ask? The Catch-a-Ride near Fyrestone is more busted than my momma's girl parts. Really appreciate you takin' a poke at that. The uh, system, not my mom. Hot dog down a Skag den, know what I'm sayin'?"
Class: I played through the game 100% 3 times with Soldier, Sniper and Siren, and Siren is just the most fun. There's so many different things you can do with the phase-in phase-out shenanigans. Also I love SMGs in this game, especially the Hellfire, so that gives Siren extra points of course. The 'best' in terms of power would probably be either Soldier or Sniper. Soldier for coop and Sniper for solo.

I use the Soldier, because the turret is a valuable asset, and I love combat rifles and shotguns. Scooter has the best lines. Lucky's an old friend of mine, and by friend, I mean asshole who ruined my mom's girl parts. I want you to go save his ass so he lives long enough that I can kill him at a later occasion. CL4P-TP (claptrap) is pretty good sometimes. Did you know that when you look at an enemy you can see thier health and level? Higher level enemies are harder to kill. If you see a skull, you better get out of there fast! The number one thing I dislike about this game is monotony of fighting Bandits for half the game. But the bosses are fun. Slither was a joke bass, btw.

I'm a sniper user, as I've always been good at sniping type stuff in FPS's.
A lot of people like to focus on Bloodwing (his action skill, which is a hawk), but I hate the little bastard. If there is a 2 foot tall barrier between you and an enemy, Durp (nickname my friend and I gave him) won't see him, make an exact 90 degree angle, fly up, then 90 degree angle again, then just freak the hell out in the air from what I'm assuming is stupidity.
Quote wise, Moxxi had some okay stuff, but Scooter was the best.
THIS IS WHERE CARS LIVE! GEH'CHOO ONE!
Of course, who doesn't like watching a clap-trap once it's active and pissed at whatever deactivated it as well.

You just wasted your time reading this information, as it is useless, and as such you wasted your time. Furthermore, you wasted even more time by reading this statement, a it is just as useless as the prior. So, not only did you waste time, but you wasted time after wasting your time. Make your time

UPDATE: You can also discuss the DLC. The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot, Claptraps's New Robot Revolution, and the Secret Armory of General Knoxx.
Question: What si your favorite DLC?
Snipers are so overpowered in this game. Near the end of the game, you get snipers that approach 400 damage and basically 1 shot lesser enemies. The by far worst weapon class in my opinion is rocket launchers.
I like that little touch that if you have an extremely high-damage weapon (usually revolvers do this), when you kill beginning of game enemies like Pup Skags, they explode.

The game world is huge, with buttons in different places to send you to the next area. The game is boring until halfway through when you fight something other than the local fauna and bandits. VAULT GUARDERS AND CRIMSON LANCE FTW.

I wish I had a picture of my face when I saw that Crimson Engies drop Scorpion Turrets. I dislike that Eridian weapons only recharge when you have them out. Old Haven took me about an hour and a half.

Got some news.
After the events of Borderlands 1, a man named handsome jack buys out Hyperion and controls Pandora. Its up to the 4 new classes to find the original group so they can assualt Hyperion.
CLASSES: Gunzerker: Great with assualt rifle. Ability: Dual-wielding.
Enemies have thier own communication system. Vehicles will have 4 seats standard.
New faction: Bloodshots: These bandits literally worship guns and have Marcus Kincaid as thier deity.

I'm so glad I got this game from a friend who bought the 4 pack. I always though it was a super serious game but its hilarious. Not that some of the enemies aren't scary as frick but it's just a really great game.
The article in GameInformer was really good! Any info/links would be appreciated by yours truly :)

my friend got me borderlands recently because it was 5 bucks on steam. ive been playing as the siren, i love it. when i play with my friends they all get pissy when i phasewalk to outrun them.
my fav quotes are anything from General Knoxx. his lines are solid gold. my fav quote from him is the one where he talks about his commanding officer made him a grilled cheese sandwich out of bubblegum and socks. also, ICE CREAM LEAVE! WOOOOO!!

Yo make sure you travel to the 4 destinations ASAP and accept the quests first so that you can play them whenever (you might have to level up a bit but otherwise..) because I didn't unlock them and I had to go through like 10 levels of the second playthrough before I was leveld up enough to play the DLC. Like I had to get to level 42 because the zombies just one shot me and I couldn't do any damage to them. SO anyways my point is make sure you go unlock and accept a quest before the game decides you need to be level 300,000 before you can play them :P
Zombie DLC (Jakobs Cove) is awesome so far!
