  This first started after i beat level 20 of the dark world of the forest and after i beat it it comes up with an erroe meassege and then closes

It happened to me today too(I noticed that an update finished on Super Meat Boy and Steam). It crashed after Hell Levels 4, 5, and 6 with the Fatal Error: "An error has occured and a mini-dump (hehe) has been sent to Team Meat. We'll fix this ASAP. Sorry about this."

It still saved my times though

I'm also getting this exact same problem. I noticed there was a SMB update on Steam and I decided to give it a spin and the game freezes every time I complete a level. I even tried rebooting my PC but to no avail. I'm roughly 3/4 of the way through Chapter 4, and it's happened on every level i've tried, even when I try replaying levels.

I did notice that the occasional minor lag or hiccup I had when playing the game before has completely disappeared, so that was nice to see. Hopefully there can be a quick update to fix this new problem, because it's making the game kinda unplayable at the moment.

It's been a while of this not being fixed. The only thing that works is SMW, none of the levels from the game work.

This started happening to me a few days ago, right after Steam updated the game, so I think the update is what caused it!

The crashes are happening absolutely 100% consistently whenever I finish a level, and they also happen whenever I try to access the leaderboards (from anywhere). However I have found that when you finish a new level or get a bandage, the game does record your progress before crashing.
