I can go into the game, start the game. as soon as i select chi: the forest, this prompt appears.

The first two selections crash the game, choosing Ignore allows me to view the cut scene, without sound. After this, doing anything crashes the game.

I've tried the directx and the Visual C++ re-installation to no avail.

I'm running windows 7 64-bit, I purchased the game through steam, and have not been able to play it yet. any suggestions?

It may be worth noting my sound card is a Realtek HD Audio card with the driver version of 6.0.1.5898

Uninstalling and re-installing worked.

Problem fixed, i suppose the thread can be locked now.
