Yeah, all my ??? runs end in Sheol, it always seems to look up and then BANG! The headless horseman blows my ass sky-high.

It's finally happened. I have more hours logged played Isaac than I have for SMB. And with Wrath of the Lamb on its way, that gap is only going to widen. The game's very addictive, and it keeps me coming back for more. The only gripe I have with it is certain overpowered items like Brimstone. I really hope that gets weakened, costs more hearts, or becomes more rare. Right now, it obsoletes its more balanced (and rare) version, Technology.

I've been doing challenges to keep things interesting, such as ??? with no devil rooms/boss items/secret rooms/shops. Another interesting challenge is Judas with no teasure rooms/shops/secret rooms, and fully exploring/fighting each floor. With no regen items to speak of, you have to rely on devil deals, which is the last thing you want as Judas. One challenge I don't think I'll do though is no-item Isaac. That's a little too hardcore for me.

Also, is it just me, or is Eve worse than the Blue Baby? She's very frustrating to play as. 1 starting power is such a massive handicap in this game, with the rarity of power-boosting items. Also, her starting items aren't very good if you ask me.

So, what challenges have you guys been doing?

There's no way for me to overcome my hours in Super Meat Boy, it's 45 hours in Isaac and 227 hours in SMB

And when WotL does come out, I'll probably rack to up to something like 700 in Isaac. It'll be cool times, I tell you waht.

Me: SMB - 173h, Isaac - 161h. But wait for the expansion. Easily +100 hours of fun :P

They made it weaker already (it scales with our damage). But it's still overpowered as hell. It's just one wide, strong piercing shot shooting through the rocks. Mom's Knife is even more horrible, cause it kills most bosses in 2 or 3 hits

I sense, that they boosted Eve's damage a little in Krampus update. Because before christmas Eve was unplayable, literally, zero offensive power. But now she feels kinda like slightly weaker Isaac. I don't care anyway, because I don't like playing as her :P I always take Cain now, because of his luck foot. I'm just having fun now (I made 100%... second time :D)

So, what challenges have you guys been doing?

None. I would try some challenges if I was able to record them and put them at youtube. I just don't like to suffer when noone's gonna share that feeling with me afterwards, you know what I'm sayin? :P Nah, but seriously, I wanted to try full-game-no-damage run, but who would believe that I've made it without any 'evidence' :P

Eve is actually better than blue baby, because ??? irritates me, I just play as normal and then something hurts me, then I scare my dogs by yelling DAMMIT!

296 hrs. in Super Meat Boy, 67 hours (and rising) in Isaac.

I just got a major milestone yesterday--my first Satan kill. It was an Isaac run, which meant there was a lot of D6-ing to go around. My character at the end? Nothing more than a wonder to behold:

Transcendance. Money = Power. Sister Maggy. The Relic. Quite a few of those I didn't even D6; I even fought The Fallen in the Caves and got The Mark out of it. And the icing on the cake? I got a 1-up in Sheol I didn't even need at that point. Probably the best run I've ever had with this game. My tears weren't quite as big as doors, and I didn't have an ifinite demon-ish form to go with it, but that was a real treat.

I guess I'll try a Cain run next; he's the character I usually do the best with. I just don't hope I get a big game-breaking item like Mom's Knife. That wouldn't be any fun.

Yes it is, I actually gave up my D6 for it, plus it provides another shop, item room, boss, secret room, and maybe a gauntlet, who could ask for more?

I have gots me the Halo!

Within the past few days, I've beaten Sheol with both Maggy and Cain, and I achieved the Halo with Cain. Having both the Rosary and the Guardian Angel really increases your chances of being able to buy one. Speaking of which, here's what my Cain looked like at the end of my run:

Since the Bible is an instant self-kill when you're fighting Satan, I decided not to risk it and got a Shoop-Da-Whoop in the Womb 2. I got a Transcendance, a Pentagram, a 1-up that I used fighting Satan, and I almost achieved that 99 coins challenge I posted earlier. All in all, a great run.

Now all I have to do is do it 3 more times. Technically, I only need 2 kills to achieve Golden God, but I'm doing it for completion's sake.

Hi there. I just beat Sheol with Judas yesterday, and now I'm ready for my Golden God playthrough!

Here are my screenies from said run:





The first item I recieved in that run was The Wafer. That should tell you a lot at how awesome it was. By the time I reached the Depths, I had a maxmimun damage stat (Why did I keep the Book of Belial? I don't know.), a lvl. 2 (soon to be lvl. 3) Meat Boy, and a crazy amount of Devil Deals, including an Ouija Board.

As for said Golden God run, I could do it with either Eve or ???. I'm thinking about probably doing it with ???, since I don't want to have to save him for last. I tried beating Sheol with him earlier, but I wasn't really up for such a huge challenge.

Not to mention, I like playing as Eve. I find the torture-her-and-you-get-a-higher-damage-stat gimmick with her to be very amusing. It would be good to use her in (possibly) my last playthrough until WotL comes out.
