Does anyone know if this game is going to come out on the iPhone or iPod touch?
Because if it did it would be really fun as it is a lot easier to play games like SMB on a
touch screen.

You seem to be confused, games like SMB, that require mega accurate controls, are far more difficult on the iDevice platform.
It's because there's no tactile feedback from the controls.

Also as an Indie dev, I'm disappointed that Team Meat don't see more potential in developing for iOS.
But then again, I'd much prefer to see them develop something for 3DS

You can't be serious.

Try playing Street Fighter 4 on a console with a proper fight stick, and then play it on an iPad. You will want to THROW it. I would rather play on a console with oven mitts on.

I don't understand why everyone thinks the iPad is a serious gaming platform. It's fine for casual waste-of-time games, but when you need accuracy and precision, you need the tactile response of a key or a button.

That was a good read. I've never liked Apple due to their business practices. If the company was even half as "evil" as it is now, I might consider buying their products, but i can only see them getting more self-righteous and full of themselves as time goes on.

The worst part is that they portray themselves as a super-hip-and-trendy liberal company so you'll give them your money. What's even worse is that people buy it.

Macs are cool. I own one Macook because it
 1) has a good user interface like Linux and Windows (actually a lot better than Windows)
 2) has a good command line like Linux
 3) has things like WLAN, tethering and sleep/hibernate which just work (unlike Linux and Windows)

On the other, I would never buy iPhone or iPad, since they are so locked up as a platform. N900 ftw!

+1 rep for you!

SMB rocks. i love SMB and i'd love to have it with me, but...seriously...on a touchscreen, never :(
it just wouldn't work. one of the many reasons being that your fingers would constantly cover part of the area you want to see, so that you can react to the environment (other MUCH more logical reasons had been mentioned, so i went with this one  )

I've made my peace with Macs. Ya, it sucks that people get tricked into buying hardware that costs three times what it's worth, but if it brings in more gamers to keep PC gaming alive and well, it can't be all bad.

i love my ipod touch. absolutely. and there's many games that work perfectly on it because they're not these immersive experience or precision button-pressing games that exist on consoles and on the PC. defense games are wonderful for when you're on the bus or on the toilet :)

plus, it's got a nice interface and i can have my music with me in a small package that will let me read my emails when i'm not home.
wonderful!

what i absolutely HATE! is iTunes and the restrictions that apple puts on their devices...also the fact that, to them €=$...i know, it would be better not to support them in it, but the thing IS convenient, once the music's on the device and itunes is uninstalled again...

i bow my head in shame of this confession

As someone who loves iPhone gaming and appreciates the fact that there are better games than Angry Birds on iOS right now, I have to admit... Super Meat Boy on iPhone would be a total fail.  >.>
