First off, congratulations on the 1 year anniversary and getting us our long awaited Mac version! Meat Boy I just have a few problems to report.

When I launch the game, it goes into windowed 800x600 mode with letterboxing. But trying to change to Fullscreen or change the resolution won't work. The buttons don't seem to want to activate. Pressing Space or Enter doesn't do anything.

Next, the Quit command doesn't work either. Press Space on the "Sure you want to quit?" screen won't do anything. I just use the X to close the window.

I had the game crash as soon as I entered the WARP ZOOOONE! in level 5. I relaunched and none of my progress was lost and the warp zone was unlocked so kudos on a smart saving system. Still, it was odd because it did it right after the voice said the words but the animation didn't get to complete. Edit: Yeah. It's definitely the "animation" before the level starts. As soon as the animation ends the game crashes. So I can't actually play the Warp Zones yet.

And lastly I did have it crash once when I went to quit with the X button before actually going to the "Sure you want to quit?" screen first.

I was hoping other Mac users might have the same problems and they can get a fix out. So far no game breakers. But I'll keep playing. Until then, is there a way to set the game to fullscreen and 1280x800 through the command line or something from the Mac version on Steam?

Edit: Oh, in case you need it, my specs:
2010 MacBook Pro
2.4GHz Core2Duo
8GB RAM
128GB SSD

Yep, I can confirm the following:

-Quit Dialog box does not take any input except escape, you have to force-close the application to quit.
-The game crashes upon starting a warp zone (or a minus world in my case)
-Game cannot be toggled to fullscreen

Additionally, it seems to lagspike a log compared to SMB running in Windows on my machine.

Specs:
Snow Leopard 10.6.8
2.66 Core i7
4GB 1067 DDR3

Glad to see it's not just me. Hopefully there will be some fast bug fix updates. I too get a lot of lag out of no where usually when my desktop picture changes from one to another.

Edit: I can also confirm it crashes when trying to load a map on Super Meat World.

I have the exact same problems running in Lion.

Edit: It seems the Game Boy Warp zone does work, the other warp zones I found result in a crash right after the animation.

Snow Leopard 10.6.8
2.13 GHz Core 2 Duo
2 GB RAM

Same issues for me.
No graphic settings.
Can't accept closing.
Warp Zone crash.
Button layout seems rotated around the face. Although I'm using a Classic Controller, so that might not be the game's fault.

Yo dawg i heard you like crash logs...

-snip-
Crash logs are automatically sent to Team Meat, you don't need to post them.

Crash at warp zone then would not reopen from apple's error report window jobby.

Good luck guys!

Dunno if anyone else is getting this... maybe my Gravis GamePad Pro is finally going out on me?

At any rate, I sometimes lose control while changing directions.
Repro:
Start Gameplay
Move back and forth rapidly
Observe that meatboy doesn't move back and forth to match all back and forth motions.

Its as if the direction change just isn't being registered in the game, sometimes.

*Stickied for importance*

If any of you feel any bugs, errors, or crashes you have experienced in the Mac version are relative to the Mac version, please post them here with as much information as possible.
(Do NOT post crash dumps, these are automatically sent to Team Meat and don't need to be posted)

Otherwise use an existing thread, or create one if for some reason no one has encountered the problem before.
(Which is incredibly unlikely)

I've been having the same problems plus a few more:

1) Can't actually exit the game when I try to (have to click on red button in upper left corner of screen).
2) Most purple warp zones crash the game.
3) Some levels in Super Meat World crash the game.
4) Lag spikes.
5) Can't make the game full screen and can't change the resolution (though I now know that I can change the resolution and quality in the command line).
6) After I got the first key In the boss fight against CHAD in the Hospital world, the level didn't start scrolling up and I was just stuck with CHAD jumping out of the water.  This only happened once but I thought I should mention it.
7) I got the Alien Hominid character but when I'm playing a level and I try to switch characters he doesn't show up.  However, when I'm at the world map and I'm asked to select a character before I start a level, he DOES show up.

Also, I've noticed that the more a level gets coated with the red stuff that Meat Boy leaves all over the surfaces and buzz saws he touches, the more the level seems to lag.  This even happens for me in an 800x600 window on the lowest quality settings.  Exiting out of the level and re-entering into it so that his "secretions" aren't all over the place makes the game run much smoother, at least for me.  So I must ask:

Is there any way to turn off the red stuff Meat Boy leaves all over the place to prevent the game from lagging?

Computer specs:

15-inch (1440x900) Mid-2007 Macbook Pro (Non-unibody)
Snow Leopard 10.6.8
2.2 GHz Core2Duo
6 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
128MB Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT

I have been having all the issues already pointed out, (no fullscreen, warp zone crashing etc.) but when I tried for the third warp zone in the forest it loaded perfectly fine and I completed it with no issues.

6) Things like that happen rarely from time to time. As long as the levels don't get stuck being broken then there's really nothing to worry about.

7) Even on -ultralow?

As for the blood trails there isn't any option to disable them, but it could be possible that it's just getting laggier the longer you spend in the level. Try spending a certain amount of time in a level both running around leaving blood trails and standing still for the same amount.

I can't think of any workaround for these bugs, so you'll have to wait for a patch (or a workaround if someone else finds one). To help it come sooner, I urge all of you to continue exploring these bugs to help discover what's causing them.

Just picked up the game off steam last night, pretty much the same problems as everyone else:

Mac Mini
Snow Leopard 10.6.8
GMA 950 graphics *fear the power -- it sucks so hard it'll rip your face off*
2 GB ram
1.83 Ghz Core 2 Duo

1) Game crashes attempting to enter any warp
2) Exit Game menu from the Main menu is useless
3) Can't enter full screen or change resolution
4) C.H.A.D. level gets stuck (frequently) on first key (able to pick up key to blow up wall/chain thing but won't trigger the scroll until i go back to where the key was)  2nd key the scroll position jumps up then back down, kinda annoying/disorienting, 3rd/4th keys i don't get the  "filtered light" effect as the roof blows ... probably just a shortcut/graphics limitation but whatever -- i noticed.
5) Unlocked "I have crabs" achievement game crashed (some kind of warp it seemed)
6) Level 4-20 (heh) Babylon - Frequent "spontaneous" deaths while riding first moving platform.  Seems to occur after i have died on the level ... if you just throw yourself into a batch of spikes (or lava?) in the first section, die (obviously) and then revive you will start to die by just getting on to the platform -- not touching anything which would cause death. Might take 4 or 5 times for it to start happening.
7) Character selection screen (the one when entering a level for the first time, NOT the switch-character screen), can't ESC out back to map (grr), the bandage numbers displayed on each character "ghost" image are a bit hard to read (font seems scaled wrong and/or top and bottom clipped )
8) In Super Meat World area (not the world-map selection, after that), no keyboard input works (meh), "system" mouse cursor is not hidden and covers "game" mouse cursor.
9) Super Meat World, "LEVELS" screen. Game crashes after selecting a level from the "recommended" list (picked several at random, one was titled "relax"). Also crashes from "chapters" list (picked another couple at random, one titled "the rackets").  Had more luck selecting from "levels" list "Level of Dooooooo" crashed "Rocksalt.pcx" also crashed others seemed to load okay ... it probably has more to do with what the contents of the level are rather than where you select it from but .. well ... that's for you to figure out i guess ;-)
10) Super Meat World, having to click the actual arrow for "previous" and "next" rather than just clicking on the arrow+word area is kind of annoying.
11) No idea what the key is to save replay (can't make out the graphic) ... kinda pressed all the keys on the keyboard, nothing saved anything.
12) Sound/Music volumes are not saved between sessions.
13) Able to die from Dr. Fetus' missiles well after they've exploded on a wall even on -ultralowdetail mode. (some kind of lag? game overall was running smoothly except on -highdetail).

will undoubtedly run into more -- will update as i run into them.

Just bought the game off of steam, I am loving it.

However I have experienced the following bugs.

1. Cannot play in fullscreen. Also I think I am unable to change the resolution from the windowed mode.
2. The Quit command seems broken. I have to exit the game through other means.
3. The game crashes anytime I enter a warp zone. Going back into the game shows that the warp zone is unlocked, but I cannot play through it.

Im hoping these get fixed soon.

Thanks

I'm having pretty much the same problems as everyone else; I can't change to fullscreen, change the resolution, quit, or enter a warp zone. On top of that, the screen doesn't ever scroll up during the CHAD level in the hospital world. Hope it gets fixed soon, because thus far I'm loving the game.

EDIT: It appears, as quip said, that the level does indeed go up, but only when I return to where the key was.
