Has anyone else's problems disappeared? I tried SMB today on my Mac running Mountain Lion and managed to play a couple of levels. Can't check further because I'm at work but I'm hoping something has been fixed. I'm running the game through Steam, but I didn't notice any updates come through (although I'm not very familiar with Steam).

EDIT. Figured out having it set to -800x600 -meddetail stops the crashes on startup. Still affected by the bug where failing in a warp zone and being kicked back to the level select crashes the game. Absolutely ridiculous how broken the mac port is. Contemplating bootcamping my Macbook just to play this game, which should be completely unnecessary if OSX is officially supported!

Super Meat Boy is tons of fun, but I've been getting some very annoying problems.
When I run the game in Fullscreen, hitting "Back To Map" after completing a level crashes the game.
When in windowed, hitting "Back To Map" will either not crash the game, and sometimes crash the game.

Will the Mac version ever have ingame options? It would be nice to not use the Steam properties to set launch options.

And one minor bug: Each time I launch the game it does not remember my Sound options. So each time the Music (Great soundtrack) & SFX are too loud.

Does Team Meat ever plan to fix this  ? I'm sure many other Mac users of SMB would be very happy if you fix this. The Pirated windows Wine Port of the game I used to have ran better than the official Mac Steam release.

I agree. It you officially support a game, make it frickin' work at least.

I think this was already mentioned but I can't tell if he's talking about the same thing.

This happens on multiple levels. If there is a moving platform, that takes you underneath a wall, with a small gap, it just kills you straight away.
e.g. 4-20 Hell, I can't even get passed the first thing to start the level. Sometimes it works, sometimes I just die. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I've had this problem, it's due to lag. You can try turning the settings down on Steam (you can read how to do this on the SMB website) or playing as a different character, it doesn't happen as much as with Meat Boy, I would use Josef or Ogmo.

I have Super Meat Boy from Steam on my Macbook Air running OS 10.8. The game starts up, I can get to the main menu fine, but once I try to load the first level I see the opening game animation and the game immediately crashes once the video ends every single time. I can't play a single level of the game. Any idea why this is happening or suggestions for what I can do? I really want to play this game but can't even get started.

Same! I get to the animation but just as I a start to play the game, it crashes.

I'm running 10.8.2, on a mid 2010 Mac, with a 2.53 dualcore i5, and the 256mb geforce from nvidia.

i'm thinking of bootcamping as well.

Brand new 13inch MacBook Pro. Had been looking forward to finally finishing this game after my old laptop broke about a year ago.  Was really pleased the Mac version had come out in that time.

No luck. On Mountain Lion, it crashes to desktop (almost) every time the game goes back out to the map screen, either through choosing to do so from the menu, from finishing a zone, or from failing a warp zone. :-(

Hi there, so this is on a mac osx 10.8

nothing else running, just steam then start meat boy.

i get all the intro screens and then when I click on the forest world, I see the artwork/movie clip and then --crash-- with a kernel exception.

every time I start the game now, I get this crash.

before it would crash randomly and sporadically, now it crashes immediately at the start of the game.

how can I fix this issue? I'd like to play the game, I paid money for it, but I can't even run it at all! So sad.

Please let me know if there are any start -parameters I could set, or a patch I need to install.

Thanks.

Same here.... I really wish I could play even ONE level to justify this purchase.... Starting to think I should ask for a refund.

Exactly the same here. And a lot of people on the STEAM Forums have the same crashes since Mac OS X 10.8.

Same thing with me. I can't play any of the game and I paid for it so I hope it can be resolved soon because I've heard it's absolutely awesome.

I just downloaded this game because I saw that it was on-sale on Steam for the Holidays.  I am really bummed that it is not compatible with Mountain Lion (10.8).  What is the timeline for a fix?

purchased the game last night and i'm having the exact same issue as those above where it crashes upon finishing the street fighter animation. (i'm using a pretty new macbook pro running 10.8.2)

i was able to, however, play a couple levels in the super meat world section before it crashed. i don't know if that helps anyone.
