Hi there:

I jus bought the game through Humble Bundle and installed via Steam... but soon as I started the game I had problems with the resolution and aspect ratio not showing correctly.

My maximum res is 1440x900, but the game started at 1280x720, I changed the but it showed the screen in 4:3 stretched to the right side of the screen... If I change it to whatever other resolution the game is shown in widescreen, but for instance If I choose 1280x800 (another 16:10 res) the bottom of the screen is not shown (I couldn't see the achievement i got, etc)

I reainstalled my graphics drivers and tried the whole "-fullscreen -1440x900" thing but it doesn't work.

My system spec is as follow:

E8400 @ 3.00 ghz
4gb ram
ATI HD 4870 Toxic 512mb

I hope you can help me out here, cos I've been waiting to play this game for a while and is a real pain in the ass not being able to play it right as I want it.

I guess that i'm the only one in the entire world having this problem... don't know what could be wrong... but Trine (another game I gor from a HB pack) shows the same issue...

Guess i'll have to live with no being able to play the game the way it was meant to

Having a similar problem...the whole game is pushed over to the right.  I tried changing the res and now I am getting a runtime error "This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way." Tried re-installing, that didn't help, any ideas?

Not sure if you are running on a Mac or not, but this post on the blog still seems to be relevant to your issue concerning resolution mishaps from the Steam command line.

Quote
Resolutions

-640x480 Sets the game to run at 640x480
-800x600 Sets the game to run at 800x600
-1024x768 Sets the game to run at 1024x768
-1280x720 Sets the game to run at 1280x720
-1920x1080 Sets the game to run at 1920x1080

These are the only supported resolutions from the command line.

Well after a lot of tries and fails (pretty much like playing the game  ) I discovered that the issue is related to the refresh rate, for some reason in WIN7, with my monitor and certain games (Super Meat Boy, COH, Driver San Francisco, etc) when I choose the maximun resolution (native) the refresh rate is set by the monitor to 59hz and that makes the image to look stretched and pushed to the right.

The fix is to download RIVATUNER, and choose the option to "Low level refresh setting" and then create a rule: your resolution [1440x900 in my case] and 60hz as refresh rate (it may be other, but I haven't tested)

You have to keep open the program and run the game and it will show correctly... however for some reason is more laggy than playing it in window mode.

I hope this will be useful to someone else
