In the replay feature, there is a Clock icon and a Flag icon, both followed by times. The Flag icon represents the Par Time -- the time required to get an A+. The Clock icon represents the current run's time.

The problem, if you've already gotten an A+ on a stage, is that there is literally no indication to your personal best time unless you exit the level to the map. Once you've gotten a personal best that's faster than the Par time, that Par time in the HUD is virtually pointless to see in the replays. Additionally, there is no visual indication that you've beaten your best time (whereas you would see A+ show up on the screen when you first get under the par time). Some sort of visual indication, not unlike the A+ notification, would be of assistance to those who want to improve their times.

Functionally, this doesn't drastically alter the way that players will play Super Meat Boy. It only updates the HUD with some information that would be relevant to those who want to try to break their previous records.

There's not really much to discuss about this, I highly doubt that anyone can think of any reason how this is not beneficial.

When you beat your best time, a little grey bandage girl flashes for a second in the bottom left corner of the screen.

It would be nice to see your best time on the screen though.

Oh right, forgot about that one.

However, it's hardly noticeable and the eye is not naturally drawn to the bottom corner. Generally, the eyes are focusing on the center of the screen -- where Dr. Fetus takes Bandage Girl (or Meat Boy for Cotton Alley) away, the "Bandage Get" notification is, as well as the "A+" notification.
