I've been thinking about it for a while, but I can't decide on it. I want to know what you guys think, should I get it or not?

P.S., when I bought SMB for the computer, I got it on half-price, and it kinda makes me feel I didn't pay what I should have for how many hours I got out of it.

I'd say yes, the game is certainly more stable on 360 for sure.  The leaderboards also aren't quite as cheated as the Steam leaderboards (for example 73L is ranked in the 300's, I'm in the high 500's)...on XBLA I have much less attractive times and I'm ranked in the low 300's-high 400's).  So there's that.

Also the characters exclusive to the XBLA version are pretty cool too, Spelunky FTW!  But probably the best thing about it is the Teh Internets level saving and leaderboards for those.

I actually strongly consider the 360 version the superior version for these reasons.  If Team Meat could ever get level saving/leaderboards in SMW, and finally get the game stable that would change though.

And you've got an extra bandage to collect and some different playable characters ;)

this is the main reason I want to get it. Teh Internets and the characters that arent included in the pc version. Can anyone tell me how much it costs right now on xbox?

It costs 1200 MS Points, right now.  Well worth it in my opinion.

I only own the Xbox version. I've been playing for a year and i'm still playing it, even more passionated than ever ! ;) I'm competing right now with Telesniper for the first place of Teh Internet, we are both around 970 seconds. Be sure that the game is stable, nothing worth a console in matter of playing ;-)

I'd say yes, the game is certainly more stable on 360 for sure.

If I had a console, this would be the most important factor for me. PC version has so much damn issues, from crashes at startup to necessity for using some commands in order to get relatively good performance

Plus some PC characters sux - Josef, Headcrab or mr Minecraft for example (on the other hand, PC has Runman, Naija, Viridian or TOFU!!)

So I'd say - buy it

Not gonna lie, but I really tried playing it on Xbox360, since it was where I played it first in fact.
I can conclude that I don't really like the Xbox360 version as much as the Steam one. The game runs a LOT slower, even compared to my slow laptop. Not only the levels themselves feel slower, but also the load times between levels. When I'm practicing speedruns and stuff, it starts to bug me after a while. Also, the controls of the Xbox360 controller don't feel that responsive (although neither does the keyboard, therefore I use my USB controller) since the A button especially requires a deep push which is not ideal if you play for extended periods of time.

I do like the internets by the way, and for some people it apparently is more stable. It actually froze for me once on the Xbox360 and it hasn't been freezing since the last Steam update on the PC version, so I dunno, maybe they're about as stable now.

I dont think that some different characters and a "Super Meat World" really limited version with leaderboards worths a new game. I mean, buying a worse version is really worths another buy?

Ok, I think I've made my decision. Any time that SMB goes on sale on the Xbox, I'll buy it. Thanks for the suggestions, guys.

You just missed the huge xbox sale too I think, it was for the anniversary, I think. It was something like 4 dollars, oh well.

I think I would pick up the xbox version too because of the leader boards and spelunky.

I confirm what TunnelingEffect said : the game was in promo for 400 MS points and for a week. Anyway, 400 ou 1200 points for such a game, i don't see that much of a difference.

With all due respect to my follow colleagues :
the game is VERY WELL responsive.
The A button doesn't need any harsh push.
And i've played dozens and dozens and dozens of video games, here and there, consoles and PC, and have played hundreds of hours SMB.
With a bad responsive game and bad buttons i wouldn't have some of the best world times. I don't think so.

Buy it !
And add me to your list (same name as here on the forum.)

Free xbox live codes for SMB were handed out yesterday, but I felt bad if I were to take one of them, considering I already have a copy of the game. Cmon, ed, have it go on sale!
