Many of the top leaderboard scores are obviously attained through cheating, as denoted by: A) Times of 0.00 (or similarly impossible times) B) Times set with the [?] character, despite myself having them all unlocked (presumably these were set by Steve before he was barred from participating).
My questions are the following: 1) Has whatever exploit(s) that enabled these 0.00/impossibly low times been fixed? 2) Are the leaderboards going to have these times removed at any point? 3) Is there any way to differentiate a cheat-acquired time from an extremely impressive legitimate time?

If you add bugged times and Mr minecraft times that are in the top, some level's top 50 is ruined. I hope it'll be fixed someday.

There is still the "friendlist leaderboard", which is for me the most important.

Most of my friends aren't sufficiently awesome/masochistic enough to play Super Meat Boy, I'm afraid.

Setting a high score with the world of goo character (in selection character screen type ballgoo) will make your highscore appear with a [?] character.

It's unfortunate they chose to record times/leaderboards in such a poor way for the game. Getting the best time for a given map should be a world-wide challenge, but instead it's a farce.

Until these times are fixed I just ignore them and subtract the total of glitch ranks from the legitimate ones and consider the resulting ranks to be the true ones. Still annoying to scroll through all of them though. :-\

The problem is not only how to remove existing invalid times, but how to prevent them in the future as well. Glitching through walls for high times is common practice for some people, and if there is a chance they can use it for their own self-gain, they will. Gotta love the human race.

Unfortunately, it's almost inevitable that a game will have leaderboards that will have hacked times, or incorrect stats. Whether it's the PC, 360, PS3, Wii, etc.
It can be fixed but there's no guarantee that it will stay that way, and even if it is it probably won't be easy to access.

Yea, same for me. Agreed. I'm constantly texting my friends about how they'd better log onto SMB and beat my times when I manage to beat theirs by .01 second.

Gotta love the human race. if (time == 0) then return() (skipping functions that set the level as beaten) in whatever language Tommy used.
