I had a pretty cool Pac-Man wallpaper for a while so I used it as a template and tried to make a SMB one. It's pretty half-assed but I'm hoping to use the level editor to make some better wall paper levels in the future. I hope you like it anyway.

Anyway, there isn't much purpose to having those blocky squares to fit the icons in; on firmware 4.0 and up, the icons all have a drop shadow that helps them stand out from just about any wildly colored background. Is there any chance that you still have the default background minus random holes sitting around? :)

Yeah, if you don't have all your spaces filled up with apps you look pretty stupid with this background.

I think now would be a good time to post some custom wallpapers that I may or may not have just made in the last 5 minutes. Also, I was going to do some HD/Retina wallpapers but all of the pictures I wanted to use were too small :/






I know that they may look a little awkward, but they're meant to work around the time and slide bar, like this:



If you have a jailbroken iPod and you've got a custom time/slide bar, well, some of them will still work :)

I was working with limited resources with my wallpaper. I was trying to take my own screen shots on steam so I could butcher those, however; I only wind up with blank images. I ended up having to use google for my images. Is there a recommended program to get around this?

As for the empty blocks, I agree that they don't look good at all. I originally wanted to but environmental elements in their place, it just didn't work out that way in the end.

I look forward to making a good background in the future, until then I'm happy to take the creative criticism to use in future pieces.

Last question: What is your favorite level theme?

I just use the print screen button, next to the F12 key
