So, I was working on some time trials, a lag spike happened, and Meat Boy just happened to clip through a wall and land right on top of Bandage Girl, giving me a time of about 1.5 seconds for a level that usually takes longer.
I immediately turned off the the game, but when I went back to check if I had been successful in preventing a faulty score from happening, turns out I wasn't. The game didn't upload my glitched time yet to the leaderboards, but it definitely shows it as my local best, which means it's bound to happen sooner or later especially if I want to play that level again.
Anyhow, the actual question I have is, is there any way to prevent that faulty score from being uploaded now, possibly by deleting some local content? I most certainly wouldn't want to delete ALL of it though, starting again from scratch at this point just sounds a bit overwhelming... I wish the game had some sort of an option to delete a Time Trial score.
Anyhow, thanks for reading... any suggestions would be appreciated!

You can get the same effect if you press ALT before hitting a wall and let it go, warping meat boy through it. This glitch happened in a few Cotton Alley levels like White Noise and Waiting Room. There's no way to fix it though.

Seriously? I can't believe pressing alt does this. I never use the keyboard though so I guess that's why I had no idea. Seems pretty obvious to patch though, how long has this bug been in the game? Anyway, yeah the same thing has happened to me on 3 levels, so far one of which I was seriously trying to perfect my time on when it happened. Unfortunately there's no way to erase it either, unless Edmund specifically went into the LB to erase it I guess.

Well, the thing is, the score wasn't actually uploaded to the leaderboards yet, it's only tied to my own save game at the moment. If I replay the level, the time will be uploaded, though.
I started a new game (made a back-up of my old save), and I'm now unlocking all the stuff again. One thing I noticed, though, is that while all my old scores are still up there on the leaderboards, the overall time seems to be tied to my current save... so, I'd have to replay all of the levels for top times again anyway if I were to go on with this save, should I want to have a nice overall time as well.

You have the possibility to make backups of your savegame frequently. I hate glitches like that, and because I tried to record sometimes the game lagged and similar things happened to me and I'm really unlucky with glitch times (which means that I got some in levels that are rather long) =(

Yeah, I know now I could've made a back-up of my save in case something like this would happen... but it didn't occur to me, until it actually happened :/
I kinda wish Team Meat would just change the overall Leaderboards to view the sum of all the times you have uploaded to the server. At the moment, the Full Game completion times are somewhat glitched too, seeing as character warp-zones also count towards that time, and only God (Tommy Refenes) knows why the heck regular warp zones first add a flat 15 seconds to that time, but upon second completion removes said flat 15 seconds. Weird stuff.

I'm not too fond of this glitch, I hope it gets fixed, I have a time of 0:21 on 7-1X: White Noise, and I'm not proud of it.

I solved my problem, guys! Using a bit of controversial means, but still! Basically, I opened up my save in a hex editor, and replaced the decimals for the glitched level with the decimals I copied from my new game... boom, no more glitched time, and everything else is the same as it was!
Naturally, this wouldn't matter, if the time had already been uploaded to the server, but since in my case it hadn't been, this worked wonderfully! :)
