I just watched the movie, and I think it is freaking amazing. Really inspiring and touching, it gives an amazing insight of how it is making a game like Super Meat Boy. Have you seen it, and what did you think of it?

EDIT: Why was this moved away from the category "Meat Talk"? The desciption says "talk about anything Super Meat Boy related", and half of the movie is about the development of Super Meat Boy, so I would say that it is pretty much related...

I think it's a great movie, especially for people who haven't had any sort of experience with game development.  A lot of time, effort, and love gets put into a lot of these games we play - and the smaller the team the more demanding it is.  I've had times where I've ended up dreaming in code because of how much coding I've done.

It's definitely inspiring - I buckled down and started working a little more seriously on my projects after watching it!

I got it as part of the Humble Indie Bundle and didnt think much of it, it just sat there without being downloaded for a while. Then about 2 weeks ago I got bored and watched it and within 5 minutes of it finishing I was on Steam getting my copy of Suuuuuuper meeeatboooooy.

Absolutely love the game, and Tommy and Ed, you guys deserve all the credit you recieve for this game, I thought I was only ever going to enjoy games with crazy AAA 3D graphics, massive cut scenes etc till I played this. Its kick started a whole new love of indie games for me, to the point where when I finish my CS Degree in 4/5 months I am going to try and find work with some smaller game company in the UK.

Sorry for the long winded post, just wanted to say thanks guys, for the first time in a long time I think I know what I want to do :)

I just finished it yesterday and man, it was a spectacular movie and inspired me to do more programming and research on programming.

That's why I'm here :D

I have seen the movie a dozen times and it's one of best documentaries I've seen. It was a huge change for me mentally, emotionally, and made me rethink about video games, game development and the game industry. The movie was truly inspiring that it makes me appreciate any indie game developers after seeing these guys go through break downs to losing a lot to make their game finished and releasing it. Makes me think if I could make a game someday no matter what.

Jonathan Blow is a genius when it comes to making games from gameplays to understanding a video gamer and how big game companies don't succeed. Also his flaws and vulnerability quote represents the entire movie.

I don't really know why people gave Phil Fish so much negativity because of the long development with Fez. It was a indie game that took more then 4-5 years, I can't really give him crap because I would've given up if I was in his shoes. He was truly committed to what he loved.

It's amazing seeing just two normal guys who love video games and heart in creation did small online flash games in the beginning to a out of nowhere successful video game that left its mark in video game history. Especially when Microsoft said that the game wasn't going to make it at all.

The soundtrack by Jim Guthrie was perfect. Every song fit the scenes in the movie and the emotions of the developers. The soundtrack has its place on my MP3.

Big props to Edmund and Tommy for their hard work and success of Super Meat Boy after the cruel development and all the long, long, long years to where they are now. They deserve it all

i was dissapointed that it was more about the "personal journey" than it was the process. Every artist has a deeply personal journey, so this served as white noise for me. I guess for a casual audience this is what they wanted, the film is definitely successful. Just, I would have liked to see this more as technical perspective and less as a window into your personal lives.
