I don't know if any of you draw maps before you make them, but if you do you can share them here [:)]

here is my map sketches:

drawing the level..                                              making a level pack out of it..

Download map here..

Bored at school so why not draw a level ?

I have very simple sketches so far, and even then they're only map sections, like one puzzle that could be combined in a map with another, and some I still have to test to make sure it works...

I've got nothing down on paper, it's all in my head. I've got a few ideas on how to use Captain Viridian in clever ways, but I'm still thinking through on how I can expand on those ideas and turn them into a full 20-level chapter.

Although these are nice, I don't understand why everyone has big plans for the level editor instead of just making the levels in -devmode.

Care to enlighten me?

for me its lack of time. I tryed to learn dev mode but i ended up going back to the tutorial like 10 times before quiting. so im looking foward to a user friendly editor that isn't to time consuming. Also there going to fix alot of the stuff that isn't that great in dev mode(like not being able to delete objects).

Btw the guy who made this topic already made some of these maps in dev-mode

Devmode is pretty tough to learn how to use and you can't do much with your levels besides share them with other people who use devmode. The new editor promises to be easier, stable, and you'll get to share your levels with many more people.

Nah, we're just explaining why people would only be drawing sketches to use in the future editor rather than just using devmode. I think we've gotten our opinions and ideas out there :)

I'm too lazy to finish the line that shows Meat Boy's supposed path

For some reason, my mind can only think of Cotton-Alleyish levels.

This makes me want to buy graph paper even though I'm not taking any math classes XD

I really want to design some levels for the more obscure characters though, like Captain Viridian or Naija or the like.  I'll come back here with some sketches perhaps.  ^^

Funny thing is, I haven't even attempted to see how this would work out. Gonna load up devmode and see what happens.

Turns out that no starting platform = infuriating rage.

I've finally put some of my ideas down on paper (not actually paper) and I've created the base for two levels for my soon-to-come VVVVVV level set:

Chances are, both of those levels will look a bit different once they're put through the editor as every obstacle was created by estimating Captain Viridian's jump height, speed, etc. and I'll need to shift a few things around if it doesn't work out like the original plan. Anyway, that's pretty much it for now and I'll probably just wing the last 18 levels in the editor
