So I've been running through the leaderboards trying to get better times, and I always check after I'm done each level. I recently beat a level and my score showed up as a 0.00 time. Is there anyway I can fix that? I don't know if I can get in trouble for it so much that I don't want to have illegitimate times.

I'm not sure, but I fear there's nothing you can do about it. You'd need to beat the time in order to overwrite it, so it's a pretty heavy task at that point... I have one 0.00 time on 360 and felt pretty frustrated about it for a while.

I really hope Team Meat removes all of those 0.00 times at some point and makes the game skip saving whenever that bug happens. With this setup the whole leaderboards are a mess for a statistics-lover like me...

I mean, things like 0.00 times, wrong character icons in leaderboard records and in-game glitch abusing (like the initial speedrun boost when switching to Captain Viridian during level that gives you a chance to turn upside down before the timer starts) really make me hope Team Meat won't quit fixing the game too soon like, for example, EA did on FIFA 11. I couldn't care less for EA or FIFA, but I definitely do for SMB...

The 0.00 times will supposedly be removed in a future patch/update. Whether or not it will fix it for you on your local save file when the fix occurs is another story...

This doesn't need to change. It may not be intentional, but it adds depth and difficulty to speedrunning.

You can't even do it on every level.

Viridian isn't very good. He needs that.

Ok. Well, I guess it can be counted as a legit trick. Meat Boy Viridian's record times on leaderboards just made me scratch my head a bit before I found the trick. I was about 0.50 seconds behind the #1 time on many levels until I finally got it on 2-5x.
