First time I played, everything was fine.
Every time since then, when I press space bar or enter at the screen that says "press start", the audio goes silent and never returns.

I read a post about deleting a reg0.dat file, but my UserData folder is completely empty.

I'm on Linux Ubuntu 11.04, 64-bit

I experienced this as well - removing Reg0.dat from ~/.local/share/SuperMeatBoy/UserData "fixes" it for one session.

I ended up adding rm -f "${HOME}/.local/share/SuperMeatBoy/UserData/Reg0.dat" to the launcher script.
(I'm using the HIB edition; the Steam edition will have things buried in your Steam directory instead.)
