What do you guys use for controls?
Personally I play the XBLA version, so the D-pad on the controller is the best option for me.
I'll probably end up buying the PC version just so I can plug in something with a decent D-pad.

Keyboard. A and D for left and right. Arrow left for jump, arrow down for run.
Works like a charm.

X felt natural at first, from being so used to playing Mario that way. But as I got closer to the end of the game, I found it much easier to use the triggers. It makes more sense, anyway; having each finger free for each action allows for a lot more precision and control. After all, Super Mario Bros. had no choice but to use B to run because the NES controller only had two action buttons. Players got familiar with this layout and it stuck, but in my opinion it's become outdated. |

Admittedly i use triggers for some characters that should basically always dash like headcrab. |

I use Logitech Dual Shock controller mostly but also Keyboard with ASKL buttons mapped.
