Also, a tip for anyone who uses keyboard and has to put their hand in a weird position; put your index finger on Shift and your thumb on Space. It might take a little getting used to, but your hand isn't in an uncomfortable position.

Then set jump to something else?

I don't get all this nonsense about controller being better than keyboard. The game only requires 2 keys + arrows/analog, no point in using controller.

I beat every thing on this game but 12 of the iron boy achievements with keyboard(7100 deaths).

It's just a matter of preference. However, controllers are actually designed for gaming while most keyboards are designed for typing, so most people are fond of using controllers for gaming.

Used the keyboard forever....cuz I don't have any sort of controller.
I did find that Shift and Space were a bit awkward so I changed it to Z for run and X for jump. Made everything a bit simpler and a lot less painful!

Well, I have a keyboard and not an xbox, but my brother is probably gonna get an xbox soon, so I could probably get a controller. Although if it's really that much easier, then that means that getting to the end won't really be a challenge for me! I've already 100% the salt factory and I have 82 bandages... Edit: 83 bandages.

Golden God with keyboard, didn't change the controls either. I guess I just got used to it.
Never tried controller, I would probably suck with it though.

Anyone use a USB SNES controller? I think it'd be epic.

I own one but haven't used it, still in my boxes I haven't unpacked yet...

Anyway, I'm currently trying out the Razer Onza Tournament Edition controller for SMB.  I have to say this beats the original 360 controller in every way for this game.  The adjustable tension and "mouse clicky" buttons work amazingly for this game, better than I ever expected.  I feel like every hop is more responsive.

I still prefer the CC Pro or the Saturn USB controller, but if your looking for a better controller than the standard 360 wired controller...this is it!

You do know you can change the controls, right?

Keyboard. But maybe I may use the PS3 controller from my brother. (If that's possible)

Old school.

Pinky on shift, thumb on space, right index on left, right ring on right.
