Anyone use a USB SNES controller? I think it'd be epic.

Amateurs. I'm running with this: http://www.retrousb.com/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=28

How do you change the keyboard controls?

Go into your SMB folder, open up the buttonmap.cfg file with Notepad, and change the keys to whatever you want.

Meat Boy Good. I  have run set to A and jump set to S. Or would the up arrow key be more comfortable? I want to know!

Well I have been using the keyboard so far, default settings, middle finger on shift and index on space, but I was going to buy an xbox 360 soon and I was wondering if the wired controller worked well for someone who prefers pads to sticks? I have heard that the xbox 360 has a bad pad.

I play the game with the SNES controller I grew up with using this adapter: http://www.retrousb.com/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=29

The game was made for this controller. I love it

That's badass!  I use a Mad Katz 360 controller.  Not great, but 1/3 cheaper than a real 360 pad.  Playing with a keyboard makes me want to slam my head into a fusebox.

I use keyboard. Yup, nearly 200 hours of gameplay in Super Meat Boy, using a keyboard. I actually don't see it as a problem, although sometimes my little finger hurts of holding down shift  Meat Boy I know that one of the really good SMB players "OTDq" also uses keyboard http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jPn6zQWsAg But I am planning to buy an xbox controller though, since I think I have 4 games that recommends using a controller

I have always used a keyboard for platformers and will always use it (probably).
And because of the risk of getting shot in the face, keyboards aren't better than controllers.

On PC I play every char on keyboard (as I dont have a usb xbox controller) but I prefer playing meat boy with a xbox controller any day over a keyboard. Feels like it's 10 times easier using a controller.

I play on the controller only, I just can't get the hang of the keyboard.  And I use a mechanical keyboard so obviously if I can't make that work, I have a problem.  But I regularly switch between the 360 pad, Onza TE, Saturn USB and CC Pro.  And I'll be trying out my new MLG controller soon too.

Depending on the character it's definitely easier to use the A+X instead of RT+A (like for Naija or Runman).

It's true the 360 controller has a bad dpad, but it doesn't really matter for this game since it's just left and right inputs.  The main reason why 360 dpad's fail is diagonal or "sliding" inputs for fighters.  But I'd recommend a Classic Controller Pro or Saturn USB pad for a Dpad preference, they can't be beat.  Or a Neo Geo USB if you can find one.

Wow really? I feel like I'm 10 times slower using X+A, although I haven't tried using a xbox controller for naija etc.

For me yeah, I can't seem to roll the speed boost for Runman using the RT+A, I guess it's just me. :P

A long time ago I used X+A, but because my thumb hurted after a while I decided to use RT+A, seems like that was a good decision.
