It's the sound that plays during the random Meat Ninja encounters that sometimes occur after completing a level.

That's odd. I've had Super Meat Boy since a few days after it's release and I've been going back to levels repeatedly to try to get 100% and not once have I ever seen anything that has to do with a Meat Ninja.

I've played about 150 hours approximately since release. I have encountered this twice. So to put it bluntly for all the people who have never seen it and probably never will... it is rare, super rare. It also has about 5 or 6 versions of what he says when he does appear. If you really want to read em, they are in one of the game files that can be easily viewed in notepad.

It doesn't do anything special. It's meant to be a hint that he exists somewhere in the game, but that was quickly realized since people were completing the game at 100% within days of release due to ocd. One of the two times happened AFTER getting him which I found fairly amusing to say the least. |

and second time:

That first time scared me... :P

I've had it happen between attempts in a level and after completing a level then exiting back to the chapter i was in. So no it's not just at the end of a level, it can happen any time.
