Let's pretend we all played SMB before and we knew how it was hard etc etc. But - the whole game randomly changed into new levels. A whole new SMB? Well, that's what I want to make in devmode and in level portal. I can't do it alone though. I need halp from every level maker on...teh internets...

So, who wants to help me achieve a half-sequel to SMB?

Chapter 1: The Terrace (HybridStars) - Finish by 1st of March
Chapter 2: The Castle (LilRobot) - Finish by 10th March
Chapter 3: Abandoned Refinery (Leiche) - Finish by 15th March
Chapter 4: The Nexus (Visiiri) - Finish by 23rd March

Chapter 6: The Fleet (The Pope) - Finish by 30th March

"Seeking for motivated level creators"?

I'm interested in this but I haven't made a single level yet. I assume that once the editor is out I need to test a lot of things before my levels become generally interesting and fair yet challenging enough. Once I've created enough test levels I know better and might join some open project.

Anyway, I'm happy to see people are already interested in starting this kind of projects. With this attitude the Super Meat World will definitely become something huge.

Also, it would have been cool to use cousineor's chapter and call it "BACK IN TIME" or sort of , bearing in mind his levels are kinda retro :)

I'm in. I need some direction for my projects, anyways.


I would call this a collaboration, by the way, rather than anything else.


If it hasn't already been taken, I would love to create the 'The Nexus' chapter. I will define its characteristics with many bold colors and some cool background shapes. I will likely use the Salt Factory and Hell palettes the most as they can be recolored to be very ambiguous. I can make 20 levels and a psuedo-boss for them, meaning that it will be like Lil Slugger or Brownie in the sense that it's really just a normal level with a trap.

Ill take chapter 3 "The abandoned Factory" since i prefer the factory palette the most.

i wont say which style the levels will have though, because i never can say it for sure

I would totally be up for that. it would be for chapter 7 hands down, when I make levels, I make them HARD!

Is it supposed to have a similar difficulty curve? Or should we just make them about as hard as Hell with some insanely hard ones?

Leiche - As long as it contains salt, missiles and anything Salt Factory-ey theres gonna be not exact theme.

Cousin - Could you make warp zones as well? (seperate from the levels, of course.) Your retro levels are retro hard in a sense.

Visiiri - If you were to do Nexus, then it would start out with "coming out" of a red salt factory and into Hell like if the whole game was side by side...

Difficulty starts at Dark World Salt Factory into think of the hardest part with the most saws in Cotton Alley and multiply it...

...by 6!

1. The Wasteland (bare strips of land - no real buildings, though ruins of ancient structures are better xD)

2. The Aftermath (ruined cities and bits of wasteland as well)
