Sure, I could make some warp zones, same format as the normal game, 4 per world, 3 levels per zone? glitch zones too?

It'd give me a bit of a break from my normal "Crank the difficulty up to 11 YEAH " levels. Now that you've shown what the difficulty will be like, I'm sure my levels will be a perfect fit for SHHFFL!

Speaking of which, off to test my new level!

The warp zones will still be like, ALL THE WAY UP TO...9 difficulty xD. I currently have 5 out of 20 levels done, but I'm limited by school now to keep making them.

Could you pm me the level file? XD

For the warp zone levels, I already have several ideas. I'm going to make some neat throwbacks (though not necessarily remakes) for some retro games.

Right now I'm thinking:

Zelda 2: A forest type level, a cave, then a temple to finish.

Megaman 2: A level based off of 3 robot master stages (gimmick wise), I'm thinking Airman (lots of pitfalls), Quickman (LASERS), and Wily 1 (the "Dragon" chase, and by dragon, I mean sawblades)

Battletoads: A 3 level set based off of the evilest levels from the evilest game. I'll be using gimmicks from Turbo Tunnel (which I'll use my existing Turbo Tunnel level for), Snake Pit (Several moving platforms in a snake like formation), and Rat Race (instead of a rat, you'll be racing unlocking blocks to get the key before it falls into the spikes).

Also, for the character warp zones, instead of doing the normal warp zone characters, I was thinking of giving the bandage characters a shot to be "unlocked" via a 3 level test of their skills.

Tofu Boy warp zone

I don't know how I feel about the difficulty you guys intend for this project, but I look forward to seeing how different creators will handle the difficulty curve. Just remember: long ≠ difficult. e_e; There's a reason The End only had five levels; don't lose sight of the fun factor.

My levels are pretty much on par with my skill. I've beaten all 6 of my Terrace levels so far. If we do lose the fun factor...we'll have to do something.

Tofu Boy warp zone for SHHFFL pl0x.

At this rate I need to do a level every 2 days, which will be incredibly hard with school in the way.

Heh, it should be really interesting making a warp zone for . It'll probably be even more interesting trying to make levels for Mr. Minecraft without him undermining (haha) the challenge (since he'll be in world 6, the bar is high).

Luckily, I have 12 or so levels already done (just might need to tweak if needed), after I have the 20 for the light world, it'll be easier to derive a dark world from those levels. (Testing the levels will be another story! ) Even with school, I'm confident I can make them by April 10th.

The Dark World is optional, can be done after the deadline. Oh, and if this bothers you - sorry if I'm taking your retro spirit xD but all SHHFFL levels (or all non-warp levels) have to be normal templates, no retro templates. I'm assuming most of your levels are Life's a Glitch levels? If not, then I will be horribly wrong xD.

Typing on iPods is annoying.

I can see that, the Cotton Alley wasn't all retro, I'm sure I could remake them in the other tilesets. (and it can free me up to make some ideas I couldn't make limited to the retro palette!)

But yeah, life's a glitch is what I'm going off of here.

for rapture I would laugh for like half an hour if it was called "teenage wasteland" and made stupidly difficult. It really reminds me of Inception's limbo, mabe that?

I would suggest the levels are in order of theme, then dificulty. I mean like for the factory you would start outside and get in through the celing, then have some levels inside, then have a level where you go down a drop to the end of it, then have some underground looking levels with the forest tiles, then back to inside and the last level is a 10 block wide tube lined with columns of salt and saws where you have to go left and right while falling.

I like the sound of "The Headquarters" for rapture and make it first small, wrecked buildings, then fancy skycrapers. Have the last level like the empire state building and you have to get to the top of the metal tower on top, with the airship floating next to it. Make this level like you start by walking in the door, then a fast elevator platform like in the kid level 2.

and here's an insane level I made a while ago, the "Sawmill of Doom"

How do I do smaller images?

Wow , karoo , that's some unfun, stupidly slow paced difficult map.
I thougt SMB is all about FAST and FUN so guys, if you will be creating some levels, just don't make them too slow paced. And another advice from team meat : "make it simple"

you mean more like bleach? that was one of my favorite levels in world 7, just because of the pace.

Well, I just made my first official level for this pack. The problem is, I might have made it too easy. I tinkered with it, removed a few blocks here and there, and suddenly I got it in 3 shots, but that might have been me remembering the hard way, and by comparison, the new one seemed easy as heck. I could really use some opinions on this level.

Here's the download link: http://www.mediafire.com/?vm48qx2ss3wktns

This is a new level (with a gimmick I've been sitting on because I couldn't do it in the retro palette), I call it "Missile Toe". It's a pretty short level, not many death traps, the main difficulty lies in actually opening up the way to bandage girl, but I might have cut that down a lot by removing a few blocks.

If anyone here could test this level out for me, I'd really appreciate it.
