The game is about meat parkour, not standing still

I use both.  Their use for me depends on character selected.  For instance, with Naija, I abuse X instead of the trigger.  With Runman, I use the left flipper (not the right).  For the most part, the only characters receiving the god ol right flipper are the ones who dash when it is held such as the kid, meat boy, bandage girl.

R2 on my controller (Right trigger). I used X at first, but it was very awkward. I then discovered right trigger did it as well and haven't gone back.

The R2/L2* on my gamepad. I think that's the best button for running.

*Like a PlayStation gamepad.

I have used X since I bought a controller couple of weeks ago. No returning to keyboard  ;D

Actually I just discovered today ago that triggers work as well. Might give them a try if my thumb gets tired. Unlocking the kid with X made my fingers hurt. I had to use thumb and index finger to dash and jump at one time.

I use a Logitech controller, but it's the Number 1 button which is essentially the X button as well. It's what I grew on with old school platforms/games, so by default it's more comfortable. I actually forgot that my controller had trigger buttons.

I use the X button (1 on logitech gamepad), and control both dash and jump with my thumb.

Trigger, until my finger starts to hurt, then I use my other finger on the other trigger.  Meat Boy

The trigger allows maximum control unless you hold the controller claw style.

Yeah I have to agree.

at first the X button makes your fingers sorta sore though.

Ah and for characters such as Alien Hominid I use the X button. It's quicker than pushing the trigger all the way down.

I use the right trigger.  I also have a death grip on that thing.  I never let go of it except for that one level in cotton alley where I absolutely had to.  Seriously though I can't play the game without running.  Yes, I unlocked The Kid while holding the run button the entire time.  I've heard it's easier if you let go of it, but I'm just different I guess.

I agree, I always have my finger on the trigger because it's faster. Since I've gotten used to that; anytime I try to let go I feel like it's a completely different game. My finger usually hurts like a bitch though after a session/

I actually use both triggers when using Alien Hominid--so long as you stagger the pulls it seems that both buttons count.
