Alright, lets try to make this a bit more interesting then.
What are your views on gay marriage, and on gay adoption?
Personally, I think both are fine. My only issue with gay adoption is the kid getting teased at school, but then, kids get teased about all kinds of crap at school, it's part of growing up. If they weren't being teased about having gay parents, then it'd just be something else.

Marriage should be ok. Noshit. I don't see why anybody should be stopped from trying to raise a child. Theres actually not a whole lot of teasing at my school. |

I say yay for both. There's no reason why gays shouldn't be able to marry, and kids are going to be teased regardless so no excuses there either. The one valid argument I have ever heard against gay marriage is that its a States problem and doing a nationwide legalization would infringe upon that right. It makes a lot of sense until you remember how blatantly unconstitutional it is to refuse people the right to marry. On the flip side, its only right to give priests the right to refuse to marry gay couples if it makes them uncomfortable. I think anyways...right? I know its legal in Connecticut (yay go us  ), but I'm really not versed as to where its legal and where it isn't. |

it's a forum for a video game primarily attracting teenage/college people
not an indictment against you but it would explain primarily liberal social views (young people haven't been jaded enough yet)

I think its more like this young generation is more open to things that are different than generations in the past. Its not like if you repolled everyone here in 10 years they'd be yelling about how the gays are going to force the human race into extinction  |

This actually came up in my political science class last week. I made the point that I could love another man, live with another man, sleep with another man, share everything I am with him but couldn't legally bind myself for a tax write off since that's essentially the gist of marriage (and before anyone gets uppity, you can wear rings on your ring finger and claim monogamy all you want without marriage). This is ultimately amazingly ignorant and needs to be fixed. In fact, a lot of gay couples are adopting (as single parents mind you) just to have a kid and raising it together without the legal backing necessary. Both these issues leave gay couples at ends as to how their relationship ends if it does, which also isn't fair. The point of handing over our political power to a government in the first place is to entrust them to make choices to improve our quality of life for us rather than us having to do it ourselves. Yet why aren't they?

you'd be surprised at how many people in the world steadfastly hold to the 'wrong' view on matters like this it's addicting to hate, to be right when others are wrong, to be an imagined knight against an imagined oppressive controlling (insert demonized group here: homos, pedos, pro-abortion people, anything to do with race, etc) agenda |

Homosexuality eh. I get in trouble for my oppinion of this issue sometimes because some people get butt hurt(LoL) far too easily. But, if im gunna be a member of the forum I might as well be real about it. I have a stance of acceptance and I obviously see no moral reason as to why being gay would ever be evil or whatever bible thumpers say. However at the same time I still dont have any problem admitting that it completely disgusts me to see or even imagine 2 dudes doing anything sexual. It's just gross to me. I'm honest about it and I wont ever be overly rude because of this (more of a playfully grossed out sort of stance like "Ew dude TMI"). I run a guild and one of my officers is gay and he rocks but he understands there is a line not to be crossed. That line is basically flirting or hitting on me when being warned not to repeatedly. The joking stuff is funny tbqh but for example: I was at Denny's(ew) with some friends at about 4 am (everyone tanked) we were eating w/e and everything was real chill. Well there was a table of gay dudes. No problem we are goofin off wit em just bein social or whatever but 1 of the guys repeatedly kept hittin on me. I asked him to stop in a civil manner but he just kept on. He starts breachin into the realms of sexual harassment and I gave him another warning. Well as we were paying and about to leave he grabs my ass for the 2nd time. Well, i stabbed him in the arm wit a fork and that was that. The point im tryin to make i guess is, if you are gay, be gay, cool whatever. I have no problem with it. But if ur being a little too flirty and i ask you to stop. Stop. Respect my rights and I will respect yours. If i have offended anyone im sorry but thats the way it is. I wont bend in either direction (<--LoL) See I can kid around. No harm done.  |

Great to have such an open community here  I must say that I'm gay myself. But like others say: I really hate these Gay Dudes always rubbing on others saying how gay they are and how cool that is, things like that, you call it. I also personally dislike this rainbow stuff and mostly these parades >___>. At these parades there are just sooo much trannies, dudes with female'sh makeup and so on, so that normal people often start to think that every gay dude acts like this. That really pisses me off because it just feeds the trolls. |
