Gamespot Australia just posted an article entitled "The Rise of the Indie Developer" that discusses the recent successes of many indie games such as Braid, Limbo, Minecraft, and yes, Super Meat Boy.  They interviewed many developers about the topic (including Team Meat  ), and it's a very interesting read.
