Rule 1 needs amending, to add something about attacking beliefs.

To clarify, debate is fine, but to outright say "Your belief is silly and stupid because mine is the opposite", I feel, shouldn't be allowed.

Let's also amend the constitution to disallow free speech. I'd wager a lot of money that if I was promoting say Islamic fundamentalism, you'd feel the opposite.

Clearly, free speech is not truly allowed. If it were, we'd have trolls running rampants spewing racial slurs and causing general disorder. It's allowed within reason.

What you are promoting is of no interest to me, it is the manner in which you promote it. It is not respectful or decent to call someone else's view stupid or arrogant.

That is why I would like the rule added. There should be no circumstance under which another person's beliefs can be attacked.

That is why I would like the rule added. There should be no circumstance under which another person's beliefs can be attacked.

Then there should not be section of the forum dedicated to anything other than games, as any discussion about politics, sexuality, war or religion will have no merit.

If you're a grown up you can handle having your views challenged or even rubbished. About the absolute limit of 'insults' was the labelling of people's views as arrogant or stupid. Not actually calling the poster that, just remarking, in their opinion, that such a belief system was rooted in personal naivety or arrogance on an intellectual level. There's a difference there, and pussyfooting around that or sugarcoating it makes the arguments toothless.

But if it's inflaming passions, then I won't continue to post like that.

I agree. I may have irked people by attacking their views, but I still remain respectful to the poster as an individual. He however seemed to me to be the only genuinely bad natured poster here, regularly calling people fags, etc.

There's a big difference between disagreeing with someone's views and expressing a different opinion, and outright attacking them.

I think this community is mature enough that we can discuss and disagree in a respectful mannor without getting into the "attack" territory. In the event that it ever does happen, the rules are already broad enough that we can warn the offenders first and then take further action if it doesn't stop. I think what we've got all the bases covered.

Also kyle can you add usergroups? Cause my idea for a level design team was pretty well supported, and i'd definitely like to lead it.
