have animated avatars been... DISABLED??? (chokes) (sputters) (  ) No but in all reality, I don't understand why the avatars can't be animated anymore but signature stuff can. I got rid of my obnoxious sig gif, but I was hoping I could have a low-profile animated avatar. Or if they haven't been disabled, then I guess something's wrong with me, because those mario bros. <------------ should be moving. |

I don't know, it's been in discussion in the Forum Rules thread since this morning and it's possible that some early steps have been taken. I'd hope that the feature wasn't removed already, considering that there's still lots of good arguments going for it  |

I don't think you can upload animated avatars, but you should be able to host them yourself and link to them just fine.

If you use an image that is bigger than 100x100 the forum will resize it, and kill any animation that it had.

Kyle, would you consider increasing the avatar size to 132x132?
I just measured the extra space between the edge of your avatar and the end of those shiny stars of yours, and there's 32 pixels of non-page stretching, unused space just begging to be filled. (And I'm not just saying this because my avatar is 88x131)
