Super Meat Boy fanfic? Really? Pages of it?

I can't think of anything to say that wouldn't be classed as trolling or flaming, so I will stay silent on the matter.

Alright, I have found a precious internet connection, so I will post the next part!

II
The intense pain of hitting the lava was like nothing Dr. Fetus had ever felt. His tuxedo vaporized instantly, and the powerful metal in his suit began to bubble, slowly gaining in tempurature. The fluid in the jar was at such an incredible heat, and the temperature was rising so fast, Dr. Fetus was surprised he wasn’t dead yet. Nothing was right, he couldn’t tell left from wrong. Everything was pain, a burning, liquid pain, a scorching fire in his veins.
Suddenly, he felt something solid, something that wasn’t pure pain, and clung to it, clung to it with everything he had. He pulled, an instinctive reaction, to free himself from the horror of the lava...
And then it was over. He had hit one of the brimstone pillars and yanked himself out of the magma flow.
An impressive stream of expletives seemed to be echoing across the deadly ocean, making thinking difficult.
“Shut up!” he shouted, realizing a moment later that they had spouted from his own mouth.
Dr. Fetus hung to the pillar for hours, maybe days. Time had no meaning, there was only pain. Perhaps it was only a few minutes, he had no way to tell.
In the distance, he could hear the explosions of the Maws. He glanced over, and saw them flying away. But...they were getting closer.
Dr. Fetus grumbled, irked. They were trying to get rid of the intruder, the one who was still alive. Him.
With a grunt of pain, he pulled himself higher up the pillar. He had to get away from the heat of the lava, slow down the painful burning.
He looked at his tiny hand, found that the flesh had been burned red. The machine was repaired, but it would take awhile for his body to do the same.
He heard a buzzing sound. Almost by instinct, he dropped back down the pillar some. A saw crashed into the space he had occupied only moments before. More traps to get rid of him.
“I can’t last like this forever,” he muttered, knowing it was true. This was where his life would end, in the sulfur spires above Hell.
Suddenly, he spotted motion in the lava, and leaped to the side, fearing demons, or saws, or worse.
But it was neither. It was Meat Boy’s flaming corpse, drifting along. Dr. Fetus paused, staring. The body was moving slowly, but oddly enough, it seemed to be going sideways, not towards the edge.
Dr. Fetus watched the corpse carefully. It even seemed to be going against the current of the lava!
“How odd,” he muttered, and knew he had to follow it.
He kicked off with his suit, and lunged onto another pillar. In the distance, a Maw exploded, closer than any of the others. He had to hurry.
Leaping from spire to spire, occasionally dodging saws, he followed the corpse. As he went, he noted, with some dismay, that there were other Meat Boy corpses, also floating in the lava, in the same general direction.
“So they all come here,” he thought. Every single dead Meat Boy in Hell... he didn’t want to think about the implications.
Another exploding Maw, the whizz of a buzz saw, and the sound of a pillar collapsing.
More corpses were appearing, Meat Boy and others, and Dr. Fetus knew he had to be getting close to finding...whatever it was he was looking for. A way out, presumably.
Narrowly dodging a saw, he followed the corpse. And suddenly, he was there.
The pillars had formed a ring, obviously on purpose. Skeletons, burning flesh, dead Meat Boy’s, and other things he didn’t pay much attention to were floating in, and at the center was a huge portal.
That, then, was the true gateway to Hell. He had not even got inside the death lands, he was still trying to find the door.
Dr. Fetus frowned. The door was there, alright, but there was a problem. He couldn’t reach it. There were no pillars between him and the portal, and the jump was too far, not to mention that the Maws were getting closer.
Dr. Fetus turned and glanced at his back. If he had his wings, he could have flown there, but they had been incinerated when the lava had struck him...
Or had they? Gently, slowly, he extended them.
Yes! They were still, somehow, working. All the flesh was obliterated, but the metal structure remained.
But of course, a skeleton is not enough to fly. Dr. Fetus was caught halfway between a grin and a grimace, knowing what he had to do next. A grin, because it would be yet another defilement of Meat Boy. A grimace, as it meant getting close to the lava, the pain...
But this was no time for fear. He had to act fast, because the Maws had almost found him.
As the next Meat Boy corpse came forward, he slowly fished it out of the lava. The same with the next, and two more after that.
“Two for each wing,” he muttered to himself.
Working diligently, he began to peel the flesh of the corpses into thin sheets, occasionally using the the saws. Then, carefully, he would wrap it around the wings, slowly making the layers thicker. Within ten bloody minutes, he had a suitable wing cover. Nothing fancy, but it would get him to the portal.
With an explosion, a Maw crashed a few yards away, and he narrowly avoided being devoured by a Mini-Maw.
“Time to go,” Dr. Fetus grinned, and flung himself into the air, wings extended.
Immediately, the rising hot air from the lava lifted him, a thermal to carry him to the clouds, and his momentum steered him until he was almost over the portal. Maws were flying up, locked onto the intruder, straining to reach him.
His wings felt hot. With horror, he realized that the heat had been too much, they were catching fire!
He flapped hard, spreading the flames and moving himself closer to the portal. No time, the Maws were almost on him.
Squinting his eyes, Dr. Fetus tucked his flaming wings and dove, speeding towards the portal at an angle.
The Maws turned in midair, sensing the change in course, but they weren’t fast enough. Laughing insanely, Dr. Fetus sped through the portal...and into Hell.

There! Soon, I'll be in one place for a week or so, and I'll make sure to post more then. Hell is the longest chapter so far, by a lot. Bye!

Meat Boy It's not even finished yet! You might want to wait a bit. But since I have a minute, here's the next chapter, which introduces a new character.

III
The instant he passed through the portal, everything went dark. He was clearly underground, and there was still lava, though not quite as much. He extended his wings again. Unfortunately for him, the flesh was mostly gone, and he crashed to the ground in an unceremonious heap.
   “Ow,” he muttered.
He was so tired. Battered, bruised, and exhausted, he just wanted to sleep. He knew he shouldn’t, he should start work on the nuke, but he was so tired...
It was hours later when he woke up, many hours. He shook the sleep from his head. He needed to start working!
But first, he needed to figure out where the hell in Hell he was. Looking up, he could see the portal high above him, still dropping corpses and spirits. In the distance he heard demons, and other things. The sounds of technology, spinning and blasting through Hell. He would not be short of resources here, and with luck, they would keep Meat Boy busy in addition to being good for the bomb.
He walked along the cliff he was standing on. It was lucky that he hadn’t landed in lava again, as there seemed to be an abundance of it here. There were just a few cliff-like plateaus to walk on, and a huge pit of magma below, which seemed to be filled with Meat Boy corpses. Dr. Fetus chuckled. Even he hadn’t comprehended just how many times Meat Boy had died until then, and more were still coming.
Slowly, we walked away from the portal pool. He needed to collect materials. It was a necessity that he did before Meat Boy reached him. For when that happened, he would once again have to fight Meat Boy on his own. He didn’t have any minions left.
The portal pool would be his base, and the place where he would set off the bomb. That was for certain. He could get out in a hurry, if need be. He would summon Bandage Girl and the robot, and be free. Even then, Bandage Girl was being moved throughout Hell by his machine.
He pulled out his precious remote to check Meat Boy’s progress, and got a small surprise.
Meat Boy was only five zones into Hell! It seemed the netherworld was far more dangerous than anything above them. Dr. Fetus grinned. Perfect. Now, to finally get those bomb materials.
Twenty minutes later, he had dismantled a fair amount of saws, made them into robots to bring him things from the Hospital and Factory, almost been eaten by Maws, nearly had his head chopped off by a electric laser-shooting Eyeball, narrowly avoided getting burnt to a crisp fifty times over, and been sent through portals to other sections of Hell. He had also become thoroughly lost.
“This sucks,” he muttered. “What am I supposed to do now?”
Suddenly, he saw a flash of movement off to his right, and dove behind a rock, fearing a Maw, a spirit, or worse.
Peering out from behind the rock, he watched for the shape, but saw nothing. Getting up, he went over to where he had seen the movement, but there was nobody there, just some bloody red footprints. Bloody...
“Meat Boy!” he shouted, and sprinted after the footprint trail. The little fool had been spying on him! Meat Boy would pay!
Dr. Fetus payed no attention to the lasers, the Maws, the Eyes keeping him under surveillance, and the skeletons that watched when the Eyes didn’t. He just followed the trail, bent on catching Meat Boy.
He rounded a bend, and there was his nemesis, waiting for him.
“Spy on me, will you?!” Dr. Fetus shouted, and lunged forward, ready to beat Meat Boy into a pulp.
But he screeched to a stop half way there. It was Meat Boy ahead of him, yet it somehow...wasn’t. His eyes glowed with an evil orange intensity, he skin was darker, his teeth more pointed, his grin somehow sinister. This wasn’t the Meat Boy Dr. Fetus knew, but something horrible, something twisted. And for some reason, it scared him.
“Meat Boy?” he asked, his voice wavering a little bit.
“Incorrect,” the being before him responded, his voice thick and guttural, angry. “I am what used to be Meat Boy, but I am far more than that. I am the Governing Horn, and you need me.”
Dr. Fetus laughed. “As if I would ever need the help of my nemesis.”
“I am not your nemesis,” the Governing Horn replied. “Your nemesis is out there, futilely attempting to rescue his girlfriend. I am just one of his many, many corpses. You killed me, Dr. Fetus. You kicked me in the face up in Limbo and dropped me into Hell. But I am still here, and you need me if you want to create that nuke.”
“How do you know about that?” Dr. Fetus asked, surprised.
“I have been watching you. I know everything,” the Governing Horn replied.
“Is that so?” Dr. Fetus asked, wary. Perhaps he could use the Governing Horn to his advantage. One of Meat Boy’s former corpses working for him could be just the thing he needed. Plus, the Governing Horn knew his way around Hell.
“Yes. I know how to dismantle the Eyes, and know that they are invaluable to creating the bomb.”
Dr. Fetus grinned. “In that case, welcome aboard, minion.”
Suddenly, Dr. Fetus was on his back, with the Governing Horn on his chest, face inches from the dome.
“Let’s get something straight, right from the start,” the Governing Horn seethed, enraged. “I am not your minion. We are partners, and you will treat me as such, or I will make you wish you had never been born!”
Dr. Fetus nodded quickly. Clearly, the Governing Horn was not someone to be messed with. Good.
The Governing Horn got up, grinning.
“Glad you see it my way,” he said. “Let’s walk."

There you go! Took me long enough to get around to this.

Um... thanks? Meat Boy

(Only kidding, I know it's a compliment. At least, I think I do.)

Also, I'm now back home, so hopefully the rate of posts should increase. I've been gone for over two months. I didn't get as much written as I had hoped, but that doesn't really matter. I'll finish eventually. Here's to resurrecting Dr. Fetus! (Toasts champagne flute, eats some toast)

Thanks everybody!  I feel so loved! I would post some now, but the story is on the laptop, and I'm typing this from the main computer. Sorry, but maybe later today I'll add some. Once again, thanks! And SuperMeatMan, about editing the thread instead of just posting new comments, I'm not sure. Maybe I could add a post, and then just keep editing it... but that also might be confusing, seeing as there's still quite a bit of this to go. Hmmm. I'll have to think about it. Thanks again! Alright, this is later than I said it would be, but it's here! The next chapter in Dr. Fetus's descent into the madness of Hell! An old fiend walks out of Dr. Fetus's past for revenge. The plot is heating up! (Bad pun, sorry ) Presenting: Then next chapter in: The Revenge of Dr. Fetus!

IV
Dr. Fetus was ecstatic. The Governing Horn was just what he needed, far better than Brownie had ever been. More vicious , more powerful, smarter, more willing to destroy. He knew how to get through Hell, how to dismantle the Eyes, and harvest the lava, how to utilize the portal technology, and most importantly, how to avoid the Maws.
Soon, Dr. Fetus had robots (built out of spare parts) scurrying around constantly, bringing pieces of Eyes and saws back to the bomb site.
“Isn’t this what you needed?” the Governing Horn asked.
“It’s perfect,” Dr. Fetus said, grinning. “Everything I could want for the bomb, all here. You are the best min...”
A glare from the Governing Horn cut him off.
   “Ah...partner...that I’ve ever had.”
The Governing Horn settled back into a less aggressive stance, peaceful once more. He was as volatile as the bomb Dr. Fetus was working to create, and almost as dangerous.
Suddenly, the Governing Horn tensed, looking around him. His eyes narrowed, and he looked vaguely worried.
“Is something wrong, partner?” Dr. Fetus asked, feeling slightly nervous. Against all odds, the Governing Horn frightened him, and seeing him scared...that was bad. “Are there Maws coming?”
“Worse. An army of Skeletals, controlled by an entity of tremendous power, who has made his home down below.”
   “Skeletals?”
“Get the robots out of here. It was He who created the Eyes, to watch all parts of Hell, and he does not take kindly to us dismantling them. He would wipe out all our progress.”
Dr. Fetus transmitted the command through the remote, and the robots scurried away, carrying the materials.
“What do we do?” he asked the Governing Horn.
“You can’t fight the army. You can’t run from them. You can’t hide from them. You must do what they want. I, however, though I cannot fight or run, can hide. If you survive, I’ll come get you.”
With that, the Governing Horn dropped to the floor, and the light left his eyes. He looked, for all the world, like another Meat Boy corpse.
“Damn him,” Dr. Fetus growled, then realized the irony of the words, given their location.
In the distance, he could hear a faint crunching and clacking, like bones being slammed together. And with it came a chilling, terrible sound, a chittering that reverberated around the cavern.
   Chittah-chittah... Chittah-chitta...
Dr. Fetus shuddered. He was strong, but this was Hell. Everything here was far more powerful than him. He was a man of science, not the horrible black magic that had made itself home in the netherworld. Down here, everyone was afraid, even him. It was the most fear he had felt in a long, long time, and that in itself scared him.
The noises were getting louder, and seemed to be coming from everywhere at once. He needed something to defend himself, but there was nothing. What could he do?
Suddenly, the source of the sounds was revealed. Climbing out of holes in the wall, dragging themselves through cracks in the floor and ceiling, lurching out of the tunnels, was an army of decaying skeletons. Their teeth were filed into points, and constantly clacked together, forming the horrid noise. They carried long, sharp chunks of rock and bone that seemed to be on the verge of melting.
The chittering sounds seemed to form a whispery voice, weaving through his brain.
“You...the Demon Lord wants you...you will go to him, Dr. Fetus. You have no choice.”
Dr. Fetus shuddered, and the Skeletals formed a circle around him, burning spears pointed inward. They were correct, he had no choice. With the army surrounding him, Dr. Fetus marched deeper into Hell.
The tunnels were shadowy, but a flickering light seemed to come from nowhere, casting a sinister orange glow over everything, reflecting off of Dr. Fetus’s dome and monocle.
Soon, their netherworld parade ended in a wide opening that led to a vast cave, almost as large as the portal room, with a river of lava and bones flowing through the center, at least a thousand feet wide. At the far side of the river, a huge iron gate sat alone, untouched by time. Nothing to either side of it, nothing behind it, just a gate.
“This is where you brought me?” Dr. Fetus scoffed, trying to seem unafraid. “To a gate in the middle of nowhere? You realize that traditionally there’s something on the other side of gates, right?”
The Skeletals regarded him coldly, as if he were a little bug that had just started talking. At once, a low hiss began to rise from the group, echoing across the cavern, rebounding back on them. It slowly rose in pitch and volume, until Dr. Fetus had to cover his ears.
Abruptly, the sound ended, and silence filled the room. The Skeletals marched him towards the lava river, where a bridge of large stones had risen from the lava, interrupting the flow. The hiss had, somehow, made the bridge rise.
“A signal,” Dr. Fetus muttered to himself. “To someone controlling the bridge. All this show is meant to scare me, but it won’t work.”
It bothered him that he had to tell himself that. He had never been frightened. But Hell... Hell was beyond him, full of otherworldly things that shouldn’t exist. He knew, someday, he would end up down here forever, and that worried him more than anything.
“But I’m still around,” he muttered. “I’m not dead yet. And once I set off the bomb, then I can get out of here. And maybe, just maybe, I’ll never have to return!”
They reached the bridge, and the skeletons filed into a line so they could fit. Dr. Fetus considered jumping to get away, but his experience with lava earlier had proved to him that to land in the river would be a terrible thing. Besides, the Skeletals would just harpoon him. They seemed to be determined to do anything to accomplish their goal.
As if to prove his point, he noted a few Skeletals stumble and drop into the lava. The rest merely filled up the gap and marched on. Dr. Fetus gave a little shiver, despite the heat.
Soon, they had reached the gate. It opened slowly inward, revealing the bleak plain of the cavern. Dr. Fetus sighed. Knowing Hell, the instant he stepped through the gates, he would be in some other place, with no way out. This would be his last chance to escape...
As if in response to his thoughts, the Skeletals surged around him, lifted him up, and chucked him through the gates. He spun through the air, and bounced off the ground, skidding to a stop. Shaking his head, Dr. Fetus pulled himself off the ground, and got a look at his surroundings.
Just as he had suspected, he was now somewhere else. From the look of it, a palace of sorts, made of obsidian and brimstone. Pillars lined the walls, with emaciated corpses chained to them. Skeletals marched around, spears held over their shoulders. And at the far end of the wicked hall, perched over a large pit of lava, was a throne.
Seated upon it was a horrid being. Like the Skeletals, but more powerful, somehow. He was half coated with flesh, like a zombie, and seemed to radiate a wicked red glow. His eyes were dark pits, cold and empty, and whatever flesh he did have was the color of dried blood.
“Who are you?” Dr. Fetus growled. “Answer truthfully, or you will die... again!”
The figure, who must have been the Demon Lord the Skeletals had mentioned, looked down at Dr. Fetus, amused. A smirk on his face, the Demon Lord spoke in a dry, scratchy voice, full of age, thirst, and anger.
“Now, now, little pest, is that any way to treat your own father?”

What did you expect? We're in Hell, and that's one character I'm not killing off yet. That is, if he's actually telling the truth. Is that freakish demon really who he says?

Alright, enough with the epic movie commercial stuff. Hope you liked this part! More coming soon-ish! Meat Boy

Alright, also just wanted to say:
Hell is finished
The Rapture begun.
But a dark storm is coming
Dr. Fetus undone.

So basically, now I'm finally writing the Rapture. We've reached the endgame, people!

Also, I'm considering making this a trilogy. If I do, and I'm not saying for sure that I will, what should I call the trilogy as a whole? (They wouldn't all be about Dr. Fetus.)

With any luck, I'll get another part edited and posted tomorrow. Until then!

Thank you! Conveniently, I was about to post the next part, so here it goes.

V
Dr. Fetus recoiled, shocked by the Demon Lord’s words. But he could see the resemblance, the same cold manner, the large shoulders.
   “Salt?” Dr. Fetus asked, staring.
“Correct, although I am going by the Demon Lord, these days.”
“You are not my father,” Dr. Fetus said, scowling.
“Oh, but I am, little pest.”
“No. I have no father. He disowned me as he died, or did you forget that?”
The Demon Lord smirked, but Dr. Fetus was no longer afraid. Demons, living skeletons, those bothered him. But this... this was just his father. He might look different, but inside, he was still the same man. Dr. Fetus had killed him once, he could do it again. But not before he got the info he needed.
“Why did you call me here, anyway?” Dr. Fetus asked.
“Simple. I created the Eyes, to watch over Hell, wait until some living fool broke in for one reason or another. But as time passed, I realized I couldn’t wait any longer. So I sent my spirit roaming, hunting for a mortal. I found you, running around in my old factory. I put thoughts in your head, and, ever so slowly, I led you here.”
“Is there a point in this?” Dr. Fetus interrupted. Keep the Demon Lord on his toes, off-balance.
But his father merely chuckled. “You cannot faze me, son, for I am almost fulfilled. You see, I am sick of Hell. Lord I may be, but I am trapped here, within this hall. You may not see it, but I am always tortured, always trapped. Now that you are here, though, I have a way out!”
Despite himself, Dr. Fetus was curious. “What?” he asked.
“Sacrifice!” his father shouted. “I have made a deal, with he who dwells in the pit below me. I shall bring you here, and drop you into the pit. You shall be dead, you, a being He wants very much, and I shall be free! Finally, glorious freedom!” His father seemed half mad. “Now, go ahead, jump in the pit.”
“What makes you think I’m going to die, just so you can go free?” Dr. Fetus asked.
“That’s easy!” the Demon Lord said, gesturing with his hands. As he did so, Skeletals seemed to sprout from nowhere, marching toward Dr. Fetus, spears raised menacingly.
Dr. Fetus nodded, and trudged toward the pit. He stood on the brink, and looked up at his father.
“Good-bye, Father,” Dr. Fetus said, with a half-hearted grin.
“Good-bye, little pest, my precious sacrifice,” the Demon Lord said, grinning and clapping his hands together.
Dr. Fetus grinned just as broadly, and leaped upward. In a second, he had his hands around the Demon Lord’s neck, and with a great heave, he launched the Demon Lord into the pit.
Or at least, that was what was supposed to happen. But instead, the Demon Lord just lay there, dangling in midair above the pit. And Dr. Fetus got to see exactly what his father meant by torture.
A horrible, worm-like snake was fastened to the Demon Lord’s back by its jaws, slowly draining him of any strength, clearly causing him incredible pain. John Salt screamed in agony, and then pointed up at Dr. Fetus.
“Get him in the pit!” he shrieked. The Skeletals began marching forward, throwing their spears. Dr. Fetus had no time, and sprinted for the gate. Skeletals stood between him and the exit, but he lunged, kicking the lead Skeletal in the head, and using the force to spring over the next few.
He knew if he landed, he would be dead. He snapped his wings open, preparing to fly away. Instead, he plummeted downward, crushing the Skeletals beneath him. The skin on his wings was still incinerated from his dive into Hell.
“Damn,” he muttered, and jerked out of the way to avoid a spear coming for his dome. Dr. Fetus leaped upward, and began jumping from the head of one Skeletal to the next, leaping and lunging as more of the mad skeletons poured into the room. He looked back, and saw his father pulling himself up the snake thing, back onto his thrown.
“Give me my sacrifice, you mindless buffoons!” he roared. That was the extra incentive Dr. Fetus needed, and he gave a mighty jump towards the door. He cleared the Skeletals, and sprinted forward. He passed through the door, and came out through the gates, with the bridge in front of him.
His father’s maniacal screech came to him, even from the portal. “LOWER THE BRIDGE!!! LOWER THE DAMN BRIDGE, ALREADY!!!!!” Dr. Fetus ran as fast as his metal legs could carry him. He was on the bridge, he was crossing it, but it was sinking...
Even as he ran, he knew he could never make it. But he went as far as he could, even as the rock began to heat up beneath his feet. It was a thin layer of crust, and before he could change his mind, Dr. Fetus leaped!
He plunged into the lava a hundred feet or so from the edge, but it could have been a million, for all he could do. The pain, if anything, was worst than the last time. But he swam to the best of his ability, his robotic precision propelling him forward. He could feel an eternity of pain seeping through his very soul, the screams of the damned reverberating out of the river, into his head, he was going to black out, there was darkness on the edges of his vision, there was nothing, there was void, his limps were moving why were they moving what was he doing the ground was soft, so soft, like a pillow, he wanted to just sleep forever, succumb...
The oblivion faded, and slowly, Dr. Fetus could see again. Not much, but he could see. Then he could hear, hear the infernal chittering of the Skeletals, he could hear a grinding sound...
Dr. Fetus snapped himself up. The bridge was rising behind him, and an army of Skeletals was amassed on the other side, spears at the ready.
“I have got to make myself a weapon,” he mumbled incoherently.  Everything ached, his suit was half melted, he could barely run, but run he did, up through the tunnels, trying to get back to the portal room. He rounded a bend, and ran straight into the Governing Horn.
“Ah, good, you survived,” the Governing Horn said mildly. “I was rather hoping you would, I can’t say I know how to assemble the bomb myself. I mean, I could do it given enough time, of course. But time isn't something we have, am I correct? However, I did manage to collect all the pieces, and then some.”
Dr. Fetus glared at the Governing Horn, and punched him in the face, sending him flying.
The Governing Horn jumped to his feet, rage flashing across his features, but he took one look at Dr. Fetus’s face, and was instantly quelled.
“Good,” Dr. Fetus growled, fury and determination fueling him. “You’re going to lead me back to the portal room. I’m going to rebuild my suit, and my wings. Then I’m going to build a bomb, and blast the hell out of Hell... along with the rest of the world. Now, let’s walk.” Without another word, he stalked off, the Governing Horn leading the way ahead of him.

There you go, another section! Yes, John Salt and the Demon Lord are one and the same. When we come back, the building of the bomb, and a battle with a boss... MEAT BOY VS. LITTLE HORN!
