The Kid's zone MIGHT be possible with Meat Boy, and the bandage is basically a gimee.
Also, your dark world video, it LOOKS like you fall right into a saw and don't die.
Ninja Edit: When Frozen at 0:39 in the dark world, the saw is DEFINITELY in you.
Critiques aside, that looks HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARD, and fun!

Refer to the last few posts before yours. I tested it fully. His version had one spot that wasn't meat-possible, so it got corrected by the new addition (number 4 respectively). Number 4 is meat-possible for sure and I have proof I will post after this quote reply since I need to photobucket it.

So I almost earned myself a cake... http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k281/rectal_thermometer_homicide/mission_meat-possible.pngThat is a legit screencap, no photoshop bullshit (yeah bitches, I'm hardcore and have visual bragging rights to prove it ). From the start point to that current spot without moving the start position at all. I have little faith I will nail that laser shit anytime this century since it took a billion tries to even successfully get as far as I did in one run, but I know it's more than possible since we both tested it a few times I believe I'm the number 1 contender for cake atm. Anyone care to step up? Cousinoer5?

lol. I indeed fucked that laser jump up after posting this and unpausing. I'll attempt this fun again later. I'm pooped on that level.

Laser is not too hard, you just need good timing

Laser is not too hard, you just need good timing Good timing is a problem when everything up to that point requires perfect timing. So messing it up means having to redo a few super difficult parts first. At any rate, I'm cake-bound

The tweaked version is way too hard for me, but I could complete it using waypoints. I died most of the time trying to get over the two saws in the beginning. I liked the tweaked jumping part a lot and would love to grind some skills there if it wasn't so incredibly hard to get past the earlier traps. I didn't find the laser that hard though. While in air, it felt pretty easy to stop under the block to wait for the laser to move left. Fortunately, there wasn't too many spikes waiting in the walls.

I only changed the third area from 2 pits to 3 to make it possible to pass with Meat Boy. So you're essentially playing the normal version. It's honestly not any more difficult than the non-tweaked version. The only difference is in the one area so Meat Boy can grind his way through it with a lot of patience and the reflexes of a golden god. I wanted the challenge to be doable without changing the level at all from its core intent. With that said, the level is hard to go straight through without restarting with the kid, but it is possible with some persistence. The reason I was complaining about that last jump was because I was doing the level with Meat Boy who increases that difficulty by about a hundred fold. Using him to run that level is a pixel perfect nightmare. So getting back up to that last jump with the laser is incredibly hard and infuriating. That photo I posted is literally of me trying to clear the level from start to finish with the challenge character, not the character the level is designed for. Give the level a shot with Meat Boy and see the difference Every part is doable if you spam it a few dozen times and re-orient the start position to test out the next part, but when put together that level is a meaty splatterfest for him. It took me about a hundred attempts to make it past that obstacle I tweaked with Meat Boy via the true start position. So it's definitely not for the faint of heart. I can do the level with the kid in a few attempts easily (both versions of the level that is).

My tactic was to jump under them lol. I don't think I could even begin to try doing that as Meat Boy. I started developing muscle memory on that jump as him anyhow, so I think that would make it feel even more strange.

I don't see how it is even possible to jump over them (I hope we mean the same saws in beginning with spike floor) E: I mean this spot: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3300848/smb/that.jpg

well the saws come in sets of two through most of the level. 2 at the start, 2 on the ground in the next area, 2 more on the ground after that with 2 more firing at you. So iunno. The timing on those saws after the first pit is indeed rough, more so with Meat Boy since there is a specific opening you must use in order to cross the part with the shooters. But to be totally fair, this level is geared towards people who have earned the kid. I don't mean you lack skill if you cannot due it. I just mean that it's on par with those 3 levels. Expect to die a few times figuring out the obstacles and once you have figured them out, it's a cakewalk.
As for Meat Boy, good luck treating it like it's on par with the kid levels. I hope someone steps up and gives it a try other than myself so I can either feel shame or pride in how far I got with him.

Yeah, that's the spot I meant. Sorry for not writing clear about it though. I spent a lot of lives TRYING to get over them before I noticed the lower path. I'll try to jump over them again soon because for some reason, I still think it's possible. EDIT: It's a ridiculous jump! I just tested it again for about 50 times and managed to jump from the upper single block of wall exactly once without dying to the spikes above it. On that one "successful" run I died to the saws without making it over them. Heheh.
