fair enough, but the app in the video is a good SMB clone for the iDevice.

Funny, I saw a preview for this game like a week ago and thought it looked a lot like SMB too.

Might have to check it out, although I'm dreading trying to play it on a touch-screen

Super Meat Boy is a platformer.
League of Evil is a platformer.
OH MY GOD IT'S A SUPER MEAT BOY CLONE!

You do know it was made before Super Meat Boy was released, right?

Little kid obviously don't gets the meaning of difference.

But I found it cute how he wrote that people should flag me for being stupid

Wow, at about 2:20 it took him 4 tries just to click the "start game" button.

THAT'S why SMB will never work on an iDevice.

I fail to see how it's like Super Meat Boy, apart from the fact it's a 2D platformer, which isn't exactly the least-used genre of gaming...

Also:

-Not nearly as fast-paced
-Seems to be only one character available
-Looks very closed in (as in walls everywhere, kind of killing any form of exploration)

I could go on, but I won't. But seriously, it looks and seems NOTHING like Super Meat Boy apart from being a platformer.

Plus, Team Meat detest the iPhone if you look at their blog somewhere, there's a video of one of them on stage saying how it's just a "console" for mostly shovelware games.

It's compared to SMB because of the way the character controls, wall slides and jumps. It's very similar to SMB, except the character also has a double jump. So more like Ogmo I guess.

Also, I gotta say, Team Meat have a really shallow view of the iOS. It's like saying the Wii is crap because of all the shovelware on it. Yeah, it's full of shovelware, but there's still some standout titles.
If Team Meat were complaining that platformers don't work on a touch screen, I'd heartily agree.

Look, just go play the flash version and you'll get what I mean. I can't think of many other games that use the same style of control, hence the comparison.
