I voted no because I don't play games just because they're based on a franchise. That's moronic. I only play games because they're fun. That's why I play Super Meat Boy instead of Enter the Matrix.

Although I agree with what you're saying, I have to digress that I enjoyed Enter The Matrix at the time. The game itself plus the little hacking mini-game system made a pretty fun experience to mess around with.
Although the more I think about Enter the Matrix, the more I want to replay Max Payne...

I wanted to say that any game can be a good inspiration for a card game. SMB is not an exception.

Let me fix your hypothesis.  Any game that isn't total shit can be good inspiration for a card game.  SMB is not an exception.

Honestly, I'm not sold.  Now Indie Game: The Card Game is entirely different story.  That would be off the hook.

Small SawBlade: Sawblade: 10% chance of kill (+5% if used with other traps)

Medium SawBlade: Sawblade: 15% chance of kill (+5% if used with other traps)

Large SawBlade: Sawblade: 20% chance of kill (+10% if used with other traps)

SawBlade Launcher: Launched Sawblades: 25% of kill (+25% if used with other traps)

Speedy Spinning SawBlade: Sawblade: 30% chance of kill (+15% if used with other Traps)

Meat Seaking Missile: Missile: 50% Chance of kill (If other traps present, value reduced to 25%)

Laser: Laser Beam: 20% Chance of kill (+40% if used with other traps)

Demon Maw: Launch Demons: 50% of kill (+75% if used with other traps

When used in conjunction to make TRAPS, the one with the highest chance to kill's chance is added to the other Saw Blades / Traps used.



RunMan: Super Sprint: Meat Seeking Missile, Demon Maws, and lasers have no effect.

The Kid: Mad Skills: Chance of kill is halved on all traps

Captain Viridian: Accidental press of shift key: 50% chance to die every time he does anything, 50% chance to avoid up to 150% combined kill chance

Meat Ninja: Meat Ninja: Winner!

HeadCrab: Long Jump: All Saw Blades have no effect, except for Sawblade Launcher

Steve: Accidental Bandage Girl: 20% chance of finding random Bandage Girl and winning

If anyone's serious, it should probably be kind of like this:

One player is the Level Master, he gets a card from the Level Pile (Such as level cards)

Like...

Short Level: Each Trap adds 1.25x as much kill chance

Long Level: 75% of normal trap damage for each trap, max traps extended by 50%.

Etc.

And one or more are the heroes, who get special bonuses and need to work together. Each one gets action cards...

Like:

Special Ability: (Varies per user, possible a SPECIAL ABILITY note on each card): Activate SPECIAL ABILITY

or

JUMP: Jump over obstacle, works against sawblade based weaponry, trap chance to kill down by 25%.
