OBJECTION! I'm not going to stoop to using the objection website, but I will have you know that Phoenix Wright is one of my favorite game series ever. The original trilogy remains one of the greatest game stories ever told (Apollo Justice is shit though. The Edgeworth games are good but not great). Furthermore, the announcement of a Phoenix Wright/Professor Layton crossover is what finally pushed my to try out the Layton games (in case you're wondering, I loved them). If you have any more reason to doubt my loyalty to the franchise, then feel free to cross-examine my pet parrot

Apollo Justice is better than the 2nd Phoenix Wright.
No way in hell. The 2nd Phoenix Wright may have been a low point in the trilogy, but it still served to develop the characters further for the climactic finale in the final game. It introduced Pearl as well as further developed the relationship between Phoenix, Gumshoe, Maya, Mia, and Edgeworth. In addition, I'd say that the final case more than made up for the kinda meh previous 3. Finally, looking purely at the story telling. Justice for all was leaps and ages ahead of the first one, which had some pretty weak and simplistic writing (I still like 1 more though).
Apollo Justice's final case was total shit and really anticlimactic and lame. The whole computer simulation thing was dumb, I didn't care about any of the characters, Phoenix the bum was lame. Apollo was dumb (literally. His little magician friend did everything for him). The humor was gone. The drama was gone. Over all the spark that made Phoenix Wright so appealing was totally gone. It was one of the most disappointing games I have ever played in my entire history as a gamer.
The 2nd phoenix wright's downfalls in the second and third cases were totally made up by the fourth.
Choosing matt engarde not guilty or guilty was harder than choosing to kill a little sister in bioshock. Seriously.
And Adrian Andrews is a character that i could honestly relate too, since i have a similar codependency problem myself.
I'll be honest the third was my favorite(Godot is just... yes) but all 3 games in the trilogy have a special place in my heart.
