I'm in the middle of The Kid 3. I've spent more time on it than either of the other two kid levels, though not quite as much yet as on the Skyscraper warp zone. Skyscraper wasn't hard though, just long.

I spent quite some time on the Kid 3 as well.  I took it that I was just exhausted from Kid 2; I really don't think it's harder.  At no point do you feel it's impossible, but I guess that may add to the frustration :P

I found Kid 3 the most frustrating of the three levels, largely because I found the double jump manoeuvre extremely difficult with a keyboard. My fingers were in real agony after a few attempts.

Meat Is Death 3 was a real nightmare as well. Beating two stages and then losing all three lives within a few seconds on the last stage over and over was pretty demoralising.

I got XOXO on my fourth try. That's right, 3 deaths. I spent WAY longer on a LOT of the other Cotton Alley levels, so I guess I was just lucky or was just good at exactly the right stuff? The level seemed pretty intuitive and easy to me overall, though the 4 remaining Cotton Alley levels are still giving me a hard time.

Probably The Kid 1 for me, those spike freefalls just aren't my thing...I can never get good at that.

Anybody else ever start playing Meat Boy after a long day and your muscle memory becomes superior to your brain function.  So much so that you completely have no idea how you pulled that maneuverer off repeatedly without even thinking.  I've had that surprise a couple times now...  Got a couple bandages that way too.

I was just thinking about this the other day when I was doing 4 letter word. I had a lot of difficulty at first but everything became second nature. Today I actually beat it and A+ it after a few attempts when I couldn't even get past the moving small saws at the top the previous day.

IMO 7-19x and 7-15x was actually kinda easy levels, my vote goes to 7-20(x) because of the tiny saws.

Step 1. Hold jump longer than you usually would for tiny saws.

Step 2. Don't be frustrated.

Today I managed to finish the game. I started playing about two months ago :), so it's a bit difficult to remember the older levels but as the harder levels are generally at the later stages it shouldn't be a problem.
There were quite a few memorable levels (memorable for being very hard for me to complete):
- The whole Kid warpzone. I think Kid 1 was the only level I couldn't finish in one go (in about 90 minutes). But to be honest it took some time to figure out it can double jump so... Kid 2 seemed relatively easy at first and it was until the 3rd elevator part where (as others mentioned) it was tricky to get the timing right, and this level also took more of my time then it should have (about 40-45 minutes). To be honest Kid 3 looked the most frightening of the three levels (and still it is for me), but probably it was the easiest to finish.
- Dark world boss: Difficult moves and long level = frustration. What's more, I reached the last part around 4-5 times and then messing up the relatively easy jumps et the end.
- Minus level 3: Probably the hardest minus level for me, it took a long time the learn the moves, but when I finished once it was not that hard anymore in later attempts.
- 7-20 (Four letter word) with Grade A: Hmmm, it's managable without A grade, but you have to be on the edge so much to go below 45 sec. Yesterday it took me more than 60 mins to achieve it. I usually completed every level twice before going on to the next one to check that I can do them because I know how to do it and not because of luck, but at this level I didn't feel I want to redo it :D (Interestingly enough, no more than 30 mins were spent on any dark Cotton Alley levels, I completed them in one go today from 7-1X to 7-20X)

Honorable mentions:
- 7-13X (Breach): It seems really difficult at first and I was surprised how "easily" I could finish it... Sure going through all the levels during the past weeks developed some platforming skills and it paid off very nicely here:)
- 7-19X (XOXO): At first I didn't understand why people said it's hard, until I reached the top platform :P. Hmm, I finished it twice, but the second attempt took me about the same as the first. I guess I still wouldn't be able to consistently do that jumping part at the top.
- Skyscraper: Somehow it was easy for me. Once I figured out the tricky jump at the end of Skyscraper 1, it was a piece of cake until that famous last jump. Fortunately I could reach that spot without dying 2-3 times in a row, so it wasn't that bad at all.

Make the kid level 1  so the kid can be unclock a little easer. the kid level is harder than dr fetus boss battle on light world.
They shouldn't make the kid easier to unlock. With how much easier he makes it to get some of the bandages, you should have to earn him. You'll never be the guy with that attitude!

I found Kid1 harder than Dr Fetus dark world, especially considering how short it is. I think what makes it so difficult is the change of style 2/3 of the way in i.e.  constant wall hopping until you reach the first safe spot, with the hardest jump being the last one to get you to that spot. Then it is delicate double jumping. Just nasty.

To me there isnt a really hard level, The game it self all together is hard but to pick out the most frustrating is just to much for me.

I'm surprised with the amount of people who aren't saying the Dark World Dr. Fetus. The first section is so frustrating because of the fact you have to wait about 10 seconds every time you die for the saws to start movie, and the second part has some of the trickiest jumps I've ever seen in the game.

The Kid warp zone, part 2.

It's so hard it could cover it's own chapter.
