Am I supposed to put something important here?

Have any of you managed to make one that works well? And, have you made one that isn't a race?
I only have a Mac, so I can't do anything yet, (    ) but I have three concepts(a boss, it's dark world version, and then another one,) that sound like they would work, although they might not when I try to make them.

Like I said, has anyone made a working boss? If you have, could you also upload a video/download of it? It would be cool.

Alright, I figured out how to make a signature! Aren't you all proud of me?
You aren't? That's not very nice!
Hmmph. You're all just jealous, because my signature is so cool! Yeah. Jealous.

You can't make bosses as they are coded elements of the game, I think if you could draw your own boss sprites then animate and script the boss to meet your requirment then that would be pretty awesome.

You can make bosses of arbitrary, but deterministic complexity by using waypoints to teleport saws/other hazards in and out of the field.

What I meant was creating a "boss" out of the obstacles. Example: A five-headed hydra. Each neck is made out of saws, with a larger saws as heads, with some type of shooter at the end of each "head". (Two saws, two lava, one homing missile.) The saws are scripted to move like necks. You collect keys to destroy the body (made out of locks) and reach Bandage Girl. So it's sort of like a guardian that you have to beat to reach Bandage Girl. That's what I meant. Sorry for confusion. All though, drawing up sprites to make a boss could be cool too. Hmmm.

Wow, that sounds pretty ambitious. If you can pull that off, rats off to ya. I would be impressed.

yeah, its a shame grabbing a key to remove a head would not remove the shooting obstacle any.  It would continue to float around on waypoints.

I had a Mother Brain-esque level planned for Dr. Fetus with a ton of enemies blocking the way to bandage girl/the key to bandage girl which are both contained in Mother Brain tanks that are shooting shit at you.  You'd be on a platform in the middle shooting rockets at the enemies to clear the paths, but it turns out Dr. Fetus is invincible and can't kill anything but Meat Boy with his rockets  .  Its a shame, really.  That level was going to be the climax of a fantastic chapter set idea.  Oh well, I've thought of a new idea to replace it now anyways

I know the homing rockets can take out both enemies, and breakable walls. You could attach one to Dr. Fetus!

Well I meant you'd be playing as Dr. Fetus and shooting shit.  I don't think you can attach rockets to your character

I'm pretty sure Team Meat can tweak that, but Dr Fetus is invincible because if he wasn't he would die in the final boss battle.

So yeah, maybe Team Meat can make a second Dr Fetus that is not invincible.

I don't think the intent was ever to really allow users to play as him.  He is in the character database because they ran the level with him to get ghosting data to implement him into the level itself.  I'm sure there's some sort of function specifically for that level that causes him to fire rockets at timed intervals that won't be included in the level editor.  Namely because they would have to tie this function to playability and make it a class so that it handles properly in the boss fight and allows the user to fire at will by pressing the special button.  Granted this is not a difficult task to do, it is still an unnecessary one I don't foresee happening.  Nor do I think he will be allowed in the level editor since that crosses the line of boss content they said we wouldn't have access to.

I agree when you say it was not intended to be playable, but now that someone found a great use for him, why not include him ?

A) boss content
B) more coding, leading to a pushed back level editor date
C) sounds as broken as Steve if you give him the ability to break blocks with the rocket via the class encapsulation needed in the code to make it work the way you want it to.

B) I never said including him a the editor release, after is fine too.
C) Not ALL the blocks.

Still crosses the boss line, still requires extra time to implement prior to the final patch, still requires extra coding that won't happen
