- Lasers (example can be seen on stage 2-19 Six Feet): These fire a continuous beam in the direction they are fired up until they hit a surface. A well-placed block will stop the deadly obstacle right there, possibly opening up a now-safe-to-traverse path.
- Eye Lasers: see above, except they target you.
- Saw Throwers (and the auto-targeting variant): See above, except they are projectiles and not instant.
- Bullet Spitters: See saw throwers, except they fire in 4 directions at once and do not have an auto-targeting variant.
- Fans (example can be seen on Meat is Death 1-2): Blocks can block gusts, use that to create a few inventive stages.
- Saws/Needles/Blood/Salt/Lava/Maggot Piles/Pepto/Bleach: These cannot be destroyed by Steve at all
- Enemies: Most of them are treated as obstacles that you must avoid.
- Blood Clots & Maggots (the variants that crawl on surfaces): You can dictate what they can and cannot crawl on by building or destroying blocks.
- Purple Amoeba things: They change direction when they hit a surface.
- Zombies (as seen in the Rapture): These enemies can be killed in any way that would normally kill Meat Boy. If you are creative, you can kill them with things like lasers (I do not believe they are in the same tileset though)
- Rising/Advancing Surfaces/Walls: Cannot be destroyed by Steve, push the player to the limit by forcing them to move fast.
- Conveyor Belts: Can be destroyed by Steve. They will just not be visibly gone.
- Fireballs: These projectiles bounce off of surfaces, use that in creative ways or create some creative obstacles to traverse.
I am probably missing a couple, but this list is to be used for reference or as a reminder for level designers who want to create a challenging stage for the single most stage-breaking character in the game.

Remember that Steve can only place full blocks. How about placing a half-block / sloped block that is required to not be removed to pass the level? (Not quite sure where I'm going with this..)

Steve can place any tile type, actually, if a tile of the similar type was deleted from the location previously.

He can go through conveyors, it just doesn't disappear - but you can go through.

I think that if you're dumb enough to destroy a key, you deserve to not be able to complete the level.

I think that if you're dumb enough to destroy a key, you deserve to not be able to complete the level. He meant blocks that are normally destroyed when you grab a key/press a button/on a set timer.

Ah, gotcha. I've been holding off on trying devmode, but I'm not sure if I can wait much longer.

The thing about mr minecraft is hes no fun to play with.
I don't know if i'd make any levels for him, let alone a whole campaign.

I think you could make levels specifically for Steve that are actually challenging. Is it possible to place lasers that are constantly on?
