It was fixed by the first patch, but yeah there was a window for ludicrous speed.

I gave Edmund the macro, a replay video comparing the glitch to normal usage and a suggestion on how to change Josef to be valuable again.  Gave a few pros and cons such as giving him a place on the leaderboards for those who can't use Naija as well as not knowing how it would affect bandage collection since I don't have the patience to try loading 100 levels in devmode to see for myself.

With that macro, he can also test xbox characters that have glitch properties as well and try pinpointing the bug to remove it.  So yeah, you've been warned

Well when playing around with the glitch, I noticed he could get damn close to Viridian and Naija on a handful of levels, but would still be anywhere from fractions of a second to a few seconds away from their competitive times.  I suggested correcting the bug, increasing his jump height but not nearly as high as the glitch was creating and keeping the spin since you cannot spin with the glitch due to the spin being replaced by a super jump.  The extra jump height would even him out quite a lot.  If it were done without fixing the glitch, he would be really abusive though.  Also the ability to use his spin could give him an edge in a few levels with the addition of that extra height.  Noticed two of the levels I tested on would've been damn useful to have that spin.

No guarantee for a Josef buff.  However, I'm sure that they will be patching more characters since they've already made a point of fixing several of them as it is.  I figured out the exact timing of the bug in a way that is replicable so it can be patched on characters that can abuse it.

I found it by accident using fraps. When I hit record, I had a setting I forgot to fix that made it record at 30 FPS, and the jump started acting crazy.
