I terribly hope Spelunky HD will be on Windows eventually, since the original is right at the top of my list of best games I've ever played. It's currently planned just for XBLA, but I don't ever plan to own an Xbox.
Haven't been able to figure out what the excitement about Minecraft is about. I've only played the free alpha version though, and for just over an hour.
Portal and Killing Floor are almost indie games. Maybe they are. They've just had so much mainstream success and got picked up by commercial teams that the term might seem a little inappropriate.

Ah, how could I forget Machinarium or Eufloria! Also great games I got from a Steam sale. $1 for an awesome game? Heck yes! I would have paid a lot more but never even heard of them before the sale!

@valzi : Minecraft Survival and free Minecraft are completely different! Try it (if some friends of you own the Survival Version) and you'll understand the hype... and spend hours making music mechanisms & pigs traps!  |

Unfortunately, I don't game with any local friends - just ones that are far away.  Good to know though. Maybe I'll eventually find a way to try it. |

I've had Minecraft and still love it to death. Recently ( kind of ) just got Trine and Braid which are also pretty awesome.
