Just thought of a more genius and less work intensive solution to moderation.  Maybe instead of having someone or a group of people moderate it, there was a thumbs up and thumbs down vote based on steamid.  If a ghost has more than say 100 thumbs up to thumbs down, it would be marked safe and the top 10 safe ones could be stored in reserve in case any bullshit times that get rejected right away crop up.

Would be hard to abuse if it's linked to steamid.  Plus the vast majority of players play the game legitly.  Only about 200 of the several thousand are being total asshats.

I still think golden god is the way to go since most super hardcore speed runners have dominated the game and are spamming level clears to get better time and more longevity out of the game itself.  I haven't seen any competitive players who lack it to be total honest.

Pay attention to the forums if you want to see competitive gamers who don't have golden god. A lot of us don't.

I don't care much for scores, because once you got the skill and the pattern down, you can redo the levels as often as you want to get your best time again. I wouldn't want to do this for the ridiculously long levels and the harder warp zones, though, but if this gets rid of all the Naija wall skipping and 0.00s then I'm fine with it.

Resetting the leaderboards will only serve to allow a fresh bunch of idiots a chance to ruin it.

I'll live if the leaderboards are never fixed. We all know which times are hacked and which ones are real.

Keep in mind that not everyone with insanely small scoreboard times are cheaters. I would like the leaderboards reset because of it messing up all of my times (MANY of them are 0.02...) I do not like cheating- especially in games this good- and the times really make me look like it. I have absolutely no idea what I managed to do wrong, but I did to something.

Are you talking about the vanilla leaderboards there or a new 'hardcore' leaderboard?
If it's for the current leaderboards, then having any requirements past completing the light world wouldn't be fun IMO. Some people don't care so much about the speedruns, and are just curious to see how they rank; having to go thru a tedious unlock process to do that would suck.

I don't think they should. They should just clear the impossible times (like when you are still spawning). Resetting it isn't going to stop cheaters. Their will always be cheaters for every video game. A lot of people, like myself, have worked hard to get the times we have. I'm not even to sure that they can reset them anyways. Wouldn't the game server just scan my level times when I logged on and update them anyways? It's not like Team Meat is going to Remove your hard earned A+'s.

To have reliable leaderboards would need some serious additionnal work and I don't think it'll ever happen : too time consuming.

Wouldn't help any.  There are plenty of levels with times like 0.01, 0.02, 0.03, etc. Even if you stuff Bandage Girl on the tile next to your start point, you couldn't possibly achieve times like that.

I got seventh (not including glitched times) on a level without having completed the game.  Still haven't.  Not even on light.  (Because I'm away from home, not not able to, I hasten to add).  I however wouldn't mind being kicked off until I got golden god - this seems like a really good idea.
